Who enjoys being around SUPPOSSEDLY christian people anymore?

What happened to christians being loving, long-suffering, kind, and welcoming to strangers, without preset notions and automatic judgements agains those wanting to come into the house of the Lord? If you have already condemned people are you not yourself playing the God role? How do we know if a person is a real christian or not by the fruits of the spirit which are: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfullness, gentleness and self-control. Galatians 5: 22-23 How is you christians getting on here and doing all this bashin of one another scripture at all? I believe it only proves that in our end times it is not one particular gp of people bringing in the evil in our time but the members of organized religion. you wanna know who have strayed from their mark, its you christians. They are none of you writing on here that proves anything but showing your true colors, a hypocrite

Whatever happened to men and women being STRAIGHT? Sleeping with the opposite sex, instead of each other? What ever happened to people fearing God, and accepting responsibility for their own bad choices instead of blaming God, The church, and Christians?

The Parable of the Weeds

Jesus told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.

The owner's servants came to him and said,'Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?'

'An enemy did this,' he replied.

The servants asked him,'Do you want us to go and pull them up?'

'No,' he answered,'because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.' " Matt 13:24 - 30

My friends, the lesson to be learned from this parable is that even if you think we (gays and lesbians) are the weeds, Jesus said NOT to uproot us with the wheat! That will be His job when the time comes. God has called us to plant, not to pluck up.

Christians can leave the tares for Christ to gather and burn when the time comes. That doesn't mean we Christians have to let the tares take over the field and smother out the wheat.

Why do Christians hate homosexuals (but not shellfish-eaters)?
There’s a recent post at The Atheist Ethicist, The Source of Hatred, where Alonzo explores the question of why theists hate homosexuals.

According to him, religion is not the cause. It’s the excuse. It’s what bigots use to rationalize their bigotry:“the Bible says it’s an abomination.”

But… Leviticus also says that eating shellfish is an abomination! Yet most Christians probably eat shrimp, and, anyway, there was never any persecution of shellfish-eaters. Why is that? Why is one sentence taken as “God’s law”, and another just as “ancient dietary laws”, when they’re both forbidden in the same book, and the condemnation for both (“abomination”) is the same?

The answer, of course, is that people are already bigots (though an important source of that bigotry may well be church sermons). Saying “It’s God’s command” instead of admitting to their prejudice makes them feel better.

If biblical prohibition were the real source of condemnation, we would find ourselves in a society where shellfish eaters and bankers would be prohibited from participating in youth organizations like the Boy Scouts. Those who insist on such a ban would argue that those who so flagrantly violate God’s law cannot possibly be moral, and clearly cannot be considered good role models for our children.

What type of message does it give our children to be a member of a troop whose troop leader is known to be a practicing shellfish eater or banker – when the Bible so clearly identifies these acts as a violation of His law? These children will no doubt come to think that all of God’s law are open to question. This type of moral relativism is the last thing that we need to be teaching impressionable young minds.

Why dont you get off the 'Christian' trip? Man wrote the bible and been translated many times since the original text, with many variations of text. Study your bible did Jesus in all his teachings say a word about homosexuality? Dont think so. Tell me also why would gays get on here starting threads bashing themseelves with opening remarks. It's you closeted cowards, who havent got the balls to say it to someone face. None of that kindness had anything to do with christianity...they were just good people. Christianity, like the other 2 abrahamic religions, is divisive. It only bring cliques of people together who agree on the similarities of their own self-righteousness. That is why there are OVER 33,000 denominations of christianity. I'm right, you're wrong.
