S-Tree Tower is goverment owned Camp Ground area with trails with about any type of riding you want. You must wear helment to be legal or you could get a ticket. Closest place to eat would be 8 miles back into Sand Gap or McKee. As far as cell phone.. Hummmm Not so good. Climb the tallest tree and you may can get service
We all have helmets that we use when riding.I would like to check the S Tree trails out next weekend.A friend had told me not to plan on going there on Memorial weekend that it would be packed and that it might not be safe for young riders?
I might have to pack the kids a snack pack or something for lunch,it would be hard to load the 4 wheelers to go out and get something to eat.Don't want to leave half of the crew behind with the 4 wheelers to go get lunch.
The part about no cell service has me worried, what does anyone do if they have trouble along the trails ? Does the Forest Rangers or anyone from the Wildlife Dept. patrol the trails?
One more question, there is not really snakes or bears in S Tree, is there?I have only lived in Kentucky since Feb.
Before my husband's death he always wanted to move back to Jackson County, I see why he always loved Jackson County now.I wish that we had made the moved while he was with us.It took me awhile to get here but I wanted to see the land of his dreams and meet some of his friends.
