School bus hit on heels of deadly crash week ago

ON SEPTEMBER 23,2008 @4;12 PM BUS 9601 STOPPED TO LET SOME KIDS OFF.THE SEMI DRIVER WAS ON THE CELL PHONE DIDN'T SEE THE BUS STOPPING. HE HIT THE BUS TRAPPING FRANCES MARGAY SCHEE IN THE BACK SEAT IN THE TANGLED METAL.SHE WAS SCREAMING AND CHRIS COULDN'T GET HER OUT THE BUS THEN COUGHT ON FIRE .SHE WAS MY BEST FRIEND.I REALLY CAN'T BELIEVE SHE'S GONE.I WOULD LIKE TO THANK CHRIS MANN AND THE OTHER 3 HEROES FOR SAVING THE OTHERS.I REALLY URGE PEOPLE TO START A PETITION AND SEND IT TO THE SCHOOL BOARD REQUIRING FIRE BLANKETS TO BE ON ALL SCHOOL BUSES.ON THE BUSES.

i miss her so much.please keep her in your prayers and hearts.she lived a good life but it was too short. we shall meet again my good friend Frances.i will always remember her for her spirit,love for other people,and her smile.she could make anybody happy even if she was sad.she loved to surf,skateboard and almost all of her spare time she would volenteer at ears rescue sanctuary

I think some of the blame for this horrible accident should go to the Driver of the Bus ! I drove a Semi truck for over 15 yrs, and when i had to stop in the middle of a main Highway, I ALWAYS made sure the Traffic behind me was slowing down to stop . I've had to drive onto the shoulder of the road when i noticed a vehicle coming behind me not slowing down ! A well trained Bus Driver should use their Rear view Mirrors at all times when stopping and after they stop ,and be ready to take evasive action , like pulling to the shoulder, or continue driving until the vehicle behind them sees that they are stopping ! My Sister drove a School Bus for over 40 yrs. and never had the first accident ! I believe some of these Bus Drivers are in to big a hurry to get back home, and just take for granted everyone can see them and will stop ! The last two fatal accidents could have been avoided if the Driver had been watching the traffic behind them !

FireHose...she was stopped you can't expect the bus driver to pull off the road from a complete stop with kids getting off the bus. We are not saying all truck drivers are bad so get off your horse. I was married to a truck driver at one time and know this family well and even babysat Margay as a baby and this is a tragedy. Put blame where blame needs to be but nothing...I mean nothing will bring Margay back. The bus driver did nothing wrong in this situation taking off and pulling over would have jeopardized the kids maybe people driving should take responsibility for themselves. People need to take driving more serious and not as something they do while putting on their make up or eating or TALKING ON THEIR CELL PHONES.

The lawyers don't care who was at fault, their going for the deep pockets i.e. school district, bus manufactor,trucking company, etc. They won't touch the truck driver "the only cause of the wreck" because he doesn't have millions of dollars lying around. Its all about the big bucks now

To the schee family,
me and margay was friends since the 4th grade and and when i found out that this happend i cried for a week and then i thought to myself that she not down on earth suffering no more and i still was sad that god choosed her and to this day i still cry even thinking about her because the last time i had seen her was my last day at nmms before i left for my program she was walking to band and we talk little and i told her i was leaving and that was the last thing we said to each other now i in bartow fl and was wondering how the family is doing
