Early poll gives Hahn an edge in statewide race

I'm almost willing to vote for Hahn just to get her out of local politics. The figurehead position of Lt. Governor is perfect for her. Finally, a position where she can do no damage and still feel important to herself.

It's obvious that Janice Hahn's incessant search for another political office -- be it County Supervisor, Congress, or now Lt. Governor -- makes it clear that she would rather be in any place but in the City of Los Angeles tackling the major problems her constituents just recently reelected her to help solve.

LA City Councilwoman Janice Hahn once again fails to serve her community. Where is her public support for the waterfront project that had been stalled for nearly 10 years and was recently approved? The Harbor area has been hard hit by the recession as port activity declines and is in desperate need of new jobs, businesses and activity at the Port of Los Angeles. Where's Janice Hahn? Looking for her next political career opportunity.

The Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners recently certified the final EIR and project entitlements thereby unanimously approving the San Pedro Waterfront Project. The 400-acre waterfront infrastructure and revitalization initiative will extend from the Port`s inner harbor cruise facilities to Cabrillo Beach in the outer harbor and create a world-class waterfront for the nation`s largest container port. This $1.2 billion project will create approximately 5,000 PERMANENT Jobs and over 13,700 one-year equivalent jobs are projected during the expected 10 year build-out.

So, the biggest news that comes from LA District 15's Councilwoman Hahn is her performance in a statewide poll for Lieutenant Governor? What is wrong with this picture? Her focus should be on those she represents and her efforts should be placed on moving forward this infusion of economic vitality in her council district - not on another political distraction.

Apparently, focusing on her next political "get" is more important than the nearly 100,000 registered voters she currently represents and a project of significant economic vitality that promises a bright future for the LA Harbor area and its residents. It's all about Janice Hahn, just ask her.

Please Recall Hahn before she can do further damage to the community on the the State Lands Commission: the Commission she promised to sue over off-port mitigations which of course never happened. Promises and lies are all Hahn has to offer, just ask the citizens of the 15th District.

So 2 months into her term she looks for a new office? Figures. Who was the guy that ran against her in the last election? Is he going to run if she leaves? Dist 15 needs a non-San Pedro resident to run.

Seems that pay-to-play is a family traditions. This was the reason her brother was the only one term mayor in the past 90 years in Los Angeles. Like Janice, he stayed at arms distance from his corrupt activities and let the staffers and appointees go to jail.
