I had my childs birthday party at Woodys, the old Kangaroo Kids, and I chose them because it was cheaper than Pump it Up. They were running late when we got there. We had a party room planned for one hour and they were 20 minutes late getting us in our room, not that much of a big deal because the kids were playing anyway, but after being in the room only 30 min, they start coming in sweeping and mopping under the tables while people were eating. Anyone could have fallen on the wet floor! Then they stood there staring at us after only 45 minutes in the room, in hopes of us getting out of the room early since we had a small party. They wiped off the table cloth and re-used it since I didn't want to take it home.(very unsanitary). It was just a waste of money and a bad experience! They have bubble gum toy machines inside and no quarters to give the children when they want change for a dollar. I suggest you not waste your money here. They probably won't be in business long. Take your $200+ dollars and go elsewhere. We adressed our concerns and all we got was an "I'm sorry!"

Yes they were very unprofessional. The fact that they were mopping in a room full of kids running around in socks made me very angry. Someone could have been seriously hurt. When I went and asked for quarters the response I rec'd was "we aint got none" so I asked do you have a change machine for all of the machines in here that require quarters and she said "no we aint got none" then she turned around and walked off. They were sweeping while we were eating and that's not very sanitary. All around it was not a very good experience. I can tell you that I will not go there again.

WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL! Not only did my child enjoy their birthday party, we have booked three more birthday parties for my other three kids. The staff was soooo nice! The decorations were wonderful. Unlike the customers above, the floor was getting very sticky and nasty and I appreciated the staff cleaning it up so my kids socks would not get nasty. Not only did I book three more parties but four people from my party booked a party.

First of all, I would like to thank the loyal customer who left a message at 3:00 this morning letting me know about this review. I appreciate your business and your loyalty to our Dream! God Bless! I remember Diappointed Mom and her Disappointed Guest. It was my first complaint about my employees cleaning up the mess. My employee who was cleaning saw some cake and punch on the floor and decided to clean it up. He is an 11th grader in the Henry County Public Schools and it was his first day. He felt terrible because he thought he had messed up. But I encouraged him that he had done the right thing. He is a very hard worker. I always tell my high school employees that if there is a mess to clean it up. If it offended you then I apologize for that inconvenience. My hostesses are there to serve and are instructed to stay in the party room during the entire party. It is there job to serve the food, cake and help the birthday child open their gifts. Yes, they are there to assure that the party flows for the fifty minutes that you have the room. If you ask anyone who had a party at Woody's they would tell you that the hostesses stayed in the room the entire time. As for the table cloths. I'm not quite sure how we reused them since every party has it's own theme. There are twenty themes and I doubt that the party after you had the same theme. I can show you receipts where we buy table cloths every week for each birthday party. Yes, we ran out of quarters that day because we had given out so much change to the kids. If you choose to remember, I gave your child four quarters out of my pocket so you would not have to wait for the change runner to bring the change back. Also, you were given a free pass for you and your family to visit because of your complaint. I am sorry that you were upset that we were cleaning up the children's mess although your husband told me we should have left it on the floor. My thoughts are that your children are walking around in their socks and that would be unsanitary and could have possibly tracked it back to the play area and then on our inflatables. When you left, your husband assured me that everything was taken care of and he appreciated my attention to the matter and appreciated the free pass. Thank you for your feedback. I hope your two beautiful kids are well. I give God the honor and glory that I have a business that has customers. And with the favor of God we will be in business for a long time. I appreciate all of your feedback.

1st off, there was no cake or punch on the floor when the mopping took place. 2nd, no "free passes" were given to us. 3rd you did not give us any quarters out of your pocket. 4th, YES they did reused our tablecloths for the next party. You must be remembering another unsatisfied guest.

I gave the free pass to the parents not to the guests of the party, unless you are the same person and just writing two reviews. I remember this party because you are the only people that have ever complained about my staff cleaning up.(ha! ha!) I will have to agree to disagree with you. God knows the truth and everything else I leave in His hands, be blessed!

I am sure the loyal customer is one of the owners of Woodys trying to boost up their business. Boy, what a brite idea. The quarters that our kids got for the machines came from AJ's turkey grill because Woodys had no quarters. I scheduled a part of 8 and some kids were out of town, so I had a total of 4 kids. We didn't have cake or fruit punch on the floor because we had a cookie cake and juice boxes, which might I had, when we were hurrying to get out of our room because the staff members were waiting, they tried to take the 4 leftover .25 cent juice boxes so they could have them for another party. How cheap is that!! And my child was given a free pass, but who would want to go back there even on a free pass with a terrible first experience? You only get one chance to make a good first impression, at least with me anyway. We can go on and on with this.......

Actually, the person who notified me is a very loyal customer who I adore as she is a fellow Mississippian as well. Speaking of brite or bright idea, however you choose to spell it. I will extend my apologies for my staff mopping and sweeping the clean floor. Not sure why they were mopping and sweeping the clean floor, but if it upset you and all your family members writing in.. I am so sorry. I will keep that darn broom and mop under lock and key. Have a wonderul and blessed day. McDonough is a great place to live and have a business in and most of our customers have made it a joy to be there. Sprite Girl, thanks for the notification and giving me the opportunity to defend my business. I respectfully bow out of this discussion because I have explained it to the best of my ability. One Love

I've taken my 2 daughters to Woody's several times. Woody's has a very professional staff and a wide variety of clean inflatables. They are well organized and have a comfortable seating area for the parents. I would recommend Woody's to any parent who wants a clean, fun, and safe environment for their children's birthday party or just play time. I plan to keep patronizing Woody's for years to come!

I have visited Woody's and I feel compelled to respond to the "Disappointed Guest", "Disappointed Mom" and can't leave out the infamous, Seamore Butts. I think that you got this phrase off of The Simpsons. I don't know why I am taking the time out of my busy schedule to respond and entertain your dumbfounded comments. I am perplexed. Cleanliness is next to Godliness. Is it is your position that you would rather have your children to play in a unsafe, unsanitary environment? If this is so, then Woody's is not the place for you. I have enjoyed myself at Woody's. The staff are friendly, and the owner is magnificent. I hope, and I believe that they will be in business for a long, long time. I would suggest that you go and complain about events that are worth complaining about. You are obviously a challenged individual. I know for certain giving my encounter with the owners and management, that she would have never addressed your concerns in the manner in which you have alleged. The fact that you said, she "said I am sorry" and just walked off. This is not her character. You must be mistaken, or yet again, challenged.

I am a father of three young kids. I visited Woody's and my kids had the best time of their lives. I also was able to have fun and sit in the adult section and watch television and still keep an eye on my kids. I would encourage anyone who is a parent and looking for a fun time to take their kids to Woody's.

I have a 5 year old and a 16 month old and I have taken both to Woody's my son who is 5 had such a wonderful time that he did not want to leave when it was time to go. My daughter who is 16 months sat in the baby inflatable area and just played with the balls. It was so cute to see her having a good time. When we went we had a GREAT TIME! The staff was friendly and courteous and I was very impressed with the parent area I believe if you sow good seed you will reap good seeds and if you sow bad seeds you will reap bad seeds also. I hope the angry responders in this forum can find it in their hearts to move on from this obviously misunderstood issue. I wish Woody’s much success and that their business will last from generation to generation to generation. For the individuals who are reading this forum and have never been to Woody’s experience it for yourself I'm sure you will have a GREAT TIME! I know we did!

I have never been to Woody's and am a regular reader of this forum. What I do know is that they are a donor to my child's school and a sponsor for my church's 4th of July picnic (Community Bible Church) and from what I understand they are not members. I think that speaks well of them. I guess my concern is that for a person to be so upset about sweeping and mopping the floor and quarters to wish that a business be put out of business is stupid. I know Henry county needs all the businesses it can get especially those that support our schools and churches in our community. I will be patronizing Woody's very soon!

There are a lot of people "users" that like to eat at establishments, have parties for their kids, etc. that feel if they complain the establish will comp their meal or event or at least discount it greatly. Sounds like this may have been the case in this situation! Always looking for a free handout if they complain!

Ha ha. you people really got all disgruntled about a family's honest complaints. You must have called the entire Mississippian family to get on here and fire back! Too funny. I love it! Nobody ever said they wanted Woodys to go out of business, is that what the Topix forum is for? To put people out of business? Hmmm... Thats hilarious. Why don't yall all move back to Mississippi then or get a back bone! Ill put it this way, I would never have a party there and I don't think they will be in business for another 12 months.... Just saying....Just saying

I am not from Mississippi, nor have I ever been to Mississippi. If anything, it looks like you're the one who had the entire family posting on line. You continue posting your "honest" opinion and experience, so why do you have a problem with other guests posting theirs???? Sounds like you just like to complain just to see your words in print. Get a life!

Dude.. why did you change your name. You are still in Mahwah, NJ so you are still Seamore Butts. What an idiot! How many people are from Mahwah, NJ writing in on the McDonough forum. Now we can see why noone attended your child's party. If noone attended my child's party I wouldn't pay anymore money to have a party either. Then, if you really want to break it down, Let's see: you said four kids attended, Woody's said you have two beautiful kids, so really only 2 kids showed up at your party, and you wanted to stay in the room for the full hour. You were just being difficult. Woody's, I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I don't think they want your family to come back. They will be in business forever, if anything, they may have to move to a bigger spot.

I'm just going to give you a warning for you and your family: The Bible says that "He will bless those that bless you, and curse those that curse you." Just be careful what you say, You saying they probably want be in business long may just backfire and you want have a job much longer. Just be careful, sir. Anyone who is able to open a business in this economy has to have the favor of God on them. Please be careful. I'm not from Mississippi and I have never been to Woody's. I did meet the owners briefly at the Community Bible Church picnic and they were very pleasant to all the children running up to them.
