Out of curosity I wonder how the state acquired the land for the prison,I have heard two stories about this:1.That it was public land,2. It was taken by the state from a private owner.I am not from Oklahoma, but in doing research for genealogy this question was brought up,and I thought it would be interesting to see how Oklahoma came up with 2000 acres of land to build a prison.

we drove from ft.smith to your prison rodeo and had purchased tickets for both nights..We were disappointed that the prisoners were rushed through each and every event.Seemed kinda unfair to us..we are not going to attend tonight because of this..WE Hve seen other prison rodeos{LA}and they were given all the time and it was well worth it...next time we will travel a bit further but get what we paid to see..Sorry--we heard other people around us discussing the same matter...Ruby and Berry

If you met up with any of the McAlester prisoners you would not be saying this! Read up on the history of escapes and mudering that has been done when a prisoner is given "more" time!

Daily Horoscope for February 13

Leo

Something will surface that either allows you to go forward or blocks your progress. Whichever way things go, take action to bring about change. If there's a blockage, then investigate the true cause as to why things are stuck. If things are unfolding well then make sure you act with clarity and determination. You can build something for the future now if you make a decisive move.
