Montebello mayor cancels special meeting

Please explain to me why a council majority that the voters have strongly indicated they no longer want in charge - Rosie by an election vote that turned her out, and Urteaga and Salazar by 30% of the voters who demanded the opportunity to vote on recalling them - should choose 6 new city officials that are highly unlikely to meet with the approval of the new council majority or the voters wishes, and will just be fired in two weeks with very expensive termination costs?
Please explain the urgency to force Rosie's chosen people into these positions for any other reason than the make a gift of public funds to these short term employees.
The Special Meeting on Monday is to fire/retire Richard Torres and then appoint a new City Administration, a new Interim City Administrator, a new Assistant City Administrator, a new Interim Assistant City Administrator, and New Finance Director and finally a new Interim Finance Director. This is precisely their plan. This is so crazy that It probably even sounds stupid to you. But this is what they are planning to do on Monday. The only plausible explanation is that this is their last chance to give their friends some undeserved parting gifts.
Attorney Glassman has already told them that this is highly illegal. Some of these positions don't even exist to be filled. So, Nick Pacheco is putting these deals together for them because even Glassman refuses to get involved in this illegal mess.
ROSIE VASQUEZ IS INTENT ON PUNISHING MONTEBELLO for voting her out of office. She is furious at everyone, except herself, for her losing the election. Sadly she is the only person she should really be mad at.
