Doh, you surely have grave mental deficiencies, fabricating drug usages and window peeping, then attributing such activities to my uncle. It must be extremely demeaning for you to have such a deficient life that you must resort to such trashy self-amusement. You have my sympathy.

I'm tempted to say 'let's hope someone is showing your father the same level of courtesy that you are showing to Mr. Gleespen', but I wouldn't wish such disrespect toward your father either.
You may wish to consider the worse case scenario regarding Mr. Gleespen: he made have been in error on a judgement call. Not a big deal as I see it.
If you read the article, he did this on numerous occasions. Then he's on here defending his behavior. This is not an "error in judgment;" rather, it is a lifestyle choice by a meddlesome person with nothing better to do.

My father would never dream of trespassing on someone else's property and spying on them, so I don't worry about anyone showing him respect or courtesy. He gets respect and courtesy because he earns it, not simply because he keeps breathing.

UNrealist, are you really as devotedly ignorant of fact as your postings lead any perceptive person to understand?

I think the obvious error in judgement lies in him not understanding correctly regarding rights to an easement. If you think you have rights to a property, that might lead to numerous offenses due to the single error.
As to your father's dreams, I hope you're right. Perhaps the nature of your father isn't the nature of all the elderly however. Too bad the elderly in general wouldn't get courtesy from you until they earn it first. That's not how I was raised. I was raised that the elderly do deserve courtesy yes, just because they're breathing.

Are you and your "uncle" so devoid of common sense as to have to defend your actions with obfuscatory language and sinuous grammar?

It was numerous times that he violated the law, and still believes (despite being cited) that he has done nothing wrong.

I give courtesy to everyone, until they show themselves unworthy of it, as this man has done. I show respect to those who earn it, and he clearly has not done that.

So-called-Realist, you do not have the self respect to be honest about facts. Printing in a newspaper does not render an untruth factual. Have you ever made an assumption which you later found to be incorrect? I have, and experience has taught me to have sufficient factual information pertaining to an issue prior to my drawing a conclusion regarding that issue.

My assuming that heresay was true, more often than not, put me on the wrong side of a matter. I have learned that the truly decent thing for me to do upon learning an assumption of mine has been contrary to truth is to apologize for my error. At times it takes great courage and integrity to speak truth; and at times it takes even greater courage and integrity to admit error.

Crime of Tax Evasion doesn't seem to have a place on Erie Forum. Perhaps it is because there are so many tax cheats who do not realize they are part of a huge problem - governmental revenues being inadequate for funding genuine needs of civilized society. Another problem seems to be the belief that many governmental officials are in on the take. Genuinely decent people pay their lawful tax obligations, and I wish more taxpayers would go after tax cheats of every stripe.

Let's assume it was once, then, if that makes you happy. You still act as though you've done nothing wrong. If that isn't enough to earn you discourtesy and disrespect, what is? You trespassed on someone else's property. For that, you were cited. You try to act as though you're a lawyer, but you grievously overestimate the meaning of an easement. Not only that, but you probably have more than half of the posts on this topic, most of them responding to yourself. Get yourself checked. Or have your "nephew" or "son" drive you to the doctor.

It seems as if my nephew has come up with an appropriate name for you - UNrealist. You are also absolutely unAmerican. In America a charge is a charge, not a conviction of having done any wrong. The difference has long been known in my family, now into its third century of law enforcement. At least thirteen Mafioso spent time in Federal prisons based upon investigations I instigated. UNrealist, your pettiness tells me you have a long was to ascend to reach uselessness.

Tax cheats are quite plentiful in every society throughout the Earth. Some of them don't give a tinker's damn that their evading lawful taxes contributes to their government's not having sufficient revenues to cover necessary services for civilized society.

Another problem is the widely held belief that some governmental officials are in on the take. I am among those harboring such beliefs. In a recent meeting with the Director of Chautauqua County, New York Department of Taxation, that Director enumerated for me the taxes which a New York Town Tax Collector is bound by New York Law to collect. Among those is Occupancy Tax which must be collected for every short term (less than 30 days) occupancy of any occupiable space such as camp site, motel, cabin, house, hotel room, etc..

A few days later I had the opportunity to ask the Town of Westfield, New York Tax Collector about occupancy taxes collected for spaces occupied within Town of Westfield. The reply was, "What are occupancy taxes?"; and I immediately remembered the old edict, "Give 'em enough rope to hang themselves!"

Chautauqua County Occupancy tax is remitted quarterly by the merchant directly to the County Director of Finance. The local tax collectors have no hand in the process.

No one hung themselves here sir. Please stop these incessant ramblings before you, yourself, are the one with all the rope.

Uncle Ray, I noticed your last post left off much of the URL you evidently meant to show. A better route might be: Go to http://www.co.chautauqua.ny.us
then go to General Services, Financial and click on Treasury, then click on Occupancy Tax

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Aquarius

If you're still happily munching chocolates and all sorts of other goodies, you'll have to take yourself in hand at some point during the coming fortnight. Maybe you'll have to compensate for all the festive over-eating by taking more exercise or cutting back on the calories, or perhaps you'll decide that you can't delay giving up smoking any longer. As Mercury turns in your twelfth house of secrets, messages you receive at this time may be very subtle or contain hidden meanings meant only for your understanding.
