Buffalo Trace Mounted Patrol a Success

Area horsemen signed up last night for the newly formed Buffalo Trace Mounted Patrol serving the Buffalo Trace Area of Kentucky.

This includes Bracken, Fleming, Lewis, Mason, and Robertson counties. The meeting was held at The Mason County Cooperative Extension Office, 800 US Highway 68 in Maysville, KY.

Ginny Grulke of the Kentucky Horse Council accepted insurance applications and presented information about the council. She presented information that will help the Mounted Patrol and explained how purchasing liability insurance thru the mounted patrol can save members money on their premiums and help the local mounted patrol.

The Buffalo Trace Mounted Patrol is now recruiting new members for the parade, demonstration and search and rescue units. Riders and non-riders are encouraged to explore this exciting equine opportunity. Training starts April 20, 2008

The next meeting for the Buffalo Trace Mounted Patrol will be April 20, 2008. Horses should unload at 12 Noon in the Bingo Hall Parking Lot, 1918 Old Main Street in Maysville KY.
