Just a reminder, it took a republican house and senate to pass NAFTA.
both partys are to blame, though NAFTA was a conservative think tank concept.

My father has worked there since 79'. This is a sad situation for all the employees. I don't know what he is gonna do. I know he isn't gonna like going to a job that pays minimum wage. That's a big SLAP in the face compared to what he was making. He has had it rough before. I'm sure he will manage. He has always been a hard working man. I send sympathy to all the employees.

I am sure if your father worked there in '79 he will not have much of a problem with minimum wage. Back when I started in 70s we were getting roughly 2-4 dollars an hour, and unless he was a manager for the last 15 years he has been making minimum wage.
Those of us who have worked there for a longtime remember how bad the pay used to be.

I think he would have a hard time w/ it. Making what he does now and going to a minimum wage job? Yes, he would. That's a big difference. Like I said he will make it though. He always has.

Daily Horoscope for May 24

Aquarius

In complete contrast to yesterday, you have your head screwed on firmly today. Yet you won't be boringly sensible or drearily practical, so there's no danger of you having turned into a dry old stick overnight. It's a good day for keeping track of important details and processes, such as confirming a forthcoming appointment or filling in a form and then making a copy of it before sending it off.
