nowhere to go

I need some advice. My husband is leaving. I'm 5 months pregnant and have 2 other children under the age of 10. I'm not working so I have no money of my own. I have nothing! I don't know what to do or where to go. Help!

Will they help even if it's not a domestic violence issue? I can't believe this is happening! I don't want my kids to have to go through this.

The crisis center may be able to direct you to people who can help, I don't know. But, you will need public assistance. It is hard to transition over to that, but you have to do what you have to do. The office is on the second floor where the employment office is at. You may also want to call Legal Aid of the Bluegrass in Morehead. They can possibly help you with a divorce for free. I wish I had done that. These lawyers around here will suck you dry and see that you lose everything. It has been 4 years for me, and I am still struggling like you wouldn't believe. I went to the crisis center. em0tional and mental abuse is the same kind 0f thing & u d0 qualify. 0bvi0usly if he is leaving u pregnant that is an extreamly selfish act...the crisis center is 0nly temporary & u will have everything u need 2 get 0n ur feet handed 2 u. d0ves in m0rehead is al0t m0re like having ur 0wn h0use and a l0t less rules. i l0ved it there & the ppl wh0 w0rked there. i 0nly transferred here f0r diversity reas0ns since my children r biracial. the crisis center has a w0ndeful staff als0. the best way 2 regain ur independence again is definately thr0ugh a d0mestic vi0lence shelter n0 matter where u g0. they are all 0ver the c0untry. g00d luck with it. als0 u may want 2 keep n mind that this situation will pass. i went back 2 c0llege after i left my husband even while i was pregnant. g0t a j0b n daycare where my newb0rn n 0ther children c0uld also g0. 4 a disc0unt until i was able 2 get help 4rm the g0vernment with daycare assistance. g0t an 0rder 4 child supp0rt as well. just m0re suggesti0ns.

Go to the Women's Crisis Center or Comprehend. They will help you find a house, utilities and transportation. Obama has just provided them with the funds to do these things. Actually, Comprehend gets more funds on the 15th. I know I just qualified myself. If you go to Comprehend ask for Dave Sugarbaker. One of the requirements of receiving this aid is that you make under 24,000 a year if you are employed and are precariously housed or homeless, and they will make you take a budgeting class and you will have to reapply to be recertified from time to time. But the best thing about this is that it lasts for 18MONTHS. I'm quite certain that you would qualify.

And you don't have to jump through hoops to get it. They're even giving it to people who don't have children, which I don't necessarily agree with because I feel that's taking away from a child that may need it.

that is a very discusting comment, and that tells how discusting you are as well,.. the woman needs help, not your disease infected fluids, or anyone elses,.. your a sick m-fkr. Wish I heard you say that in person.
