Why better yourself for a decent job when you get everything you need for free in the good ole USA. Yeah some people really are elderly or disabled and can't work, and it's not a kid's fault that their crackhead parents won't work. What gets me is people who don't want to earn things and think they're entitled to everything. How is it that someone is on food stamps because they can't afford the cost of food and their i-phone? I do believe everyone has a right to bice things but I also think you should work for it and stop running this country in the crapper. You think life is good with all your free shit? Get a job and you can buy nicer shit. That is all.

It's one thing to be down on your luck and receiving assistance. As long as you are trying to better yourself so that you don't become a permanent leech on the system, I have no problem with someone drawing food stamps.(those who are honestly disabled not being counted in this group). But cell phones are a LUXURY not a necessity. you want a cell, go get a job and pay for it like I have to!

alot of people that are on aide that have cells the cells are paid for by the family,if you have kids you have to have a phone! everyone needs a way to call for help or to call the dr or other buissness,yall some hatin people.
try livin on 300 dollars a month cash and about 300 for food LOL today it would be impossible.and FYI people on welfare have to work or they dont get a check.

Okay...so get a land line phone on my tax dollars, just not a cell. Or like you said, sometimes family members pay for it and thats fine if they want to. You wanna be on welfare and have a cell that your business. But it shouldn't be an additional luxury on top of the ones already provided to you.

People with jobs can afford food, I buy my own food. Oh and no it's not hotdogs and ramen. It should be hard to live on welfare, it's there to exist upon thats it, also amazing how all these people on welfare and disability have systems, iphones, rims, and yet still supposedly can't afford their food or rent. Being born does not mean you are entitled to food, housing, medical, etc. Those are thing that are earned

The welfare free gov. debate will never end. Assistance is in place for people with no other options...Elderly, disabled, parents that have been left by a spouse and are raising children. The problem most people have with welfare recipients is when they have multiple kids, by multiple partners and have never attempted to work or make a better life. They are living in the projects, popping out kids, letting whatever man or woman they are screwing live there. A married couple with 2 kids has to work their ass off the provide a comfortable life with a home, food, and medical insurance. A regular life. A 21 year old woman with 3 kids by 3 dads gets free rent, childcare, and foodstamps, and a medical card because she was too stupid to close her damn legs and learn from her first mistake!!! Most people don't disagree with the concept of government assistant programs but they do disagree with the generation of freeloaders that act like it's their right to be handed everything and now expect cell phones!!!
