I am finishing a biography of my father's life in Laurinburg in the early 1930's. My father started this manuscript before he died about 16 years ago. I am editing this for my children and for their children. I have not found any good pictures that illustrate life in Laurinburg during the Great Depression. I believe that the Mills existed in East Laurinburg and not actually in Laurinburg. I cannot find a picture of Dickson Mills or even a good history of the Mill. I know that it existed in 1908 and had been around at that time for at least 15 years. Any photo images that you could share would be much appreciated. I may be contacted at: edward_thorne@yahoo.com. Thank you!
