“I've never had anyone still out there driving after that many convictions for driving under the influence”
A Charlotte businessman accused of killing two teenage sisters and a 1-year-old boy while driving under the influence in South Carolina last month had previously been convicted at least six times for driving while impaired.
But a hole in N.C. law prevented Frank Richard Davidson from being charged under a statute designed to rid the roads of chronic drunken drivers.
If Davidson had been convicted as a habitual DWI offender, he would have lost his license for good and gone to prison for at least a year. Instead, the toughest punishment he ever received was 90 days in jail and a suspended license in 1997. Read more

When is he going on trial?

The two girls you are talking about went to our
church. Their mother and father, brother and two sisters also. When Abbey and Hanah and the baby which was a friends of Hannah's was killed it affected our entire church. Their father Mike McByrde is our adult Sunday school teacher and I can say without a doubt the most Godly man I know. There is no bitterness in him and he and family are doing well. I have seen him heartbroken and he has never uttered one word against Mr. Davidson. I do not know for sure when he goes to court. You know how it goes. If you got enough money you can get out of anything. That is anything on this earth. We all must meet a higher authority one day. And we will surely not get away with anything. I thank God I went under the blood and can honestly say that I feel sorry for him. He has alot to live with. |

I have also been wondering when Mr. Davidson would stand trial. I have no idea how to find out. I had heard that Mr. Davidson was out on bond. I hate to hear that he is behind the wheel again.
My son used to date Abby and I know the McBrydes are a wonderful, godly family. Bro. Mike is definitely the best Sunday School teacher I have EVER heard! I cannot imagine what they are going through. I believe it is a wound that will never heal, but will grieve them until they leave this world for a better one and are reunited with their precious daughters. We pray for them often because only God can help them now. |

He is driving and apparently has a valid NC Drivers License. Now what do we do?
How about alerting the Courts, Newspapers, the McBryde's attorney, Television Reporters? He is in NC, does SC know what's going on with him up here?
What's to stop him from doing it again? SIX previous DUI's and charged with Four more Felony DUI's. TEN DUI's and driving??????? |

Anybody hear anything lately?

What do you do when the government doesn't live up to its primary mandate (to protect its people)? Looks like it's up to the citizens of N.C.(and S.C.) to protect ourselves.
How do we as citizens protect ourselves from a drunk driver?

Such a waste of life, happens everyday unfortunately, any news on court hearing.
It is apparently postponed indefinately. And he is driving all over town, legally.
His trial is postponed indefinately. He is a free man and free to drive, legally.
How is it he can have Christmas w/ his family, and the McBrydes have to visit their kids at the cementary. HOW MANY PEOPLE MUST DIE BEFORE HE GOES TO JAIL? I think I'm going to be sick.

Maybe if we write our Congress person? Who else could give us answers as to why he's a free man?
http://www.godbi.com/ Here's his company. I found it on Google.

I guess there will be no justice in this case. Even celebrities like Paris Hilton go to jail for DUI and no one was killed. Doesn't make sense to me
An e mail was sent to our Congress Person and Senator. They said they would look into this matter. That was 5 months ago. Haven't heard a thing. There is no justice for those children and their families. And apparently never will be until this this killer meets his maker. Oh, he's found God now and believes he is forgiven. I guess it's time to move on. Case Closed.

I think that this is a disgrace that this person is still driving and free to do whatever it is that he pleases. Is this man still working in his investment company? I wonder if this will ever go to trial?
Yes he's still working, check out his website: www.godbi.com . This is so not fair.
