Don't forget the Battle of Marburg! Yes, there was a small battle that happened in the town that lies underneath what is now Lake Marburg, which is more commonly known to all of us York Countians as Project 70. There is still some of that town under there today too.

Yes, there were several very small insignificant skirmishes in York County during the Gettysburg campaign, including ones near Jefferson, Dover, and York. The fight at Marburg was an outcome of the Battle of Hanover, and Yankee patrols fired shots at the retreating Confederates are various places, including near Marburg.
The two largest fights in York County of course were at Hanover and Wrightsville. |

Things have not changed much since 1863 in Jefferson. I heard they are thinking about attempting to hookup to the electrical grid. |
