I cannot believe the trash that was at the magnolia fair. The people there were so nasty. I am ashamed to know that those people live in the same area as I and my family. They smoked like freight trains, cussed and fought with each other. I've never seen 99% percent of the those heathens before, I don't know where they came from, but that is the reason why West Virginia is sterotyped. And the nasty mothers there with their children, poor little kids.

I thought it was very nasty as well. The smell literally made me sick to my stomach. It smelled like raw sewage. Not only was it nasty, but 90% of the people there were blown out of their minds and walking around all bug eyed and like zombies letting their kids run free and unattended. It used to be so much better. I think they need to put a little more effort into it next year and do something about all of the dope heads running around. Good people don't want to be around that crap and certainly don't want to expose their children to it. The fair should be about taking your kids to ride rides and have fun, not see how many skanky dopeheads you can pile into one small area and see who can get the highest without overdosing. It's sickening.

I feel for you hun, because you don't know any better than to say some of the things you have said about these kids and their parents. Some people are NOT as fortunate as others. I normally don't post but this is ridiculous that you would post something this MEAN and HURTFUL on here about others. I know I dresses my kid in old clothes because of the rain and mud making stuff dirty, but it was only because I didn't want good clothes to be ruined. The fair is MAINLY for the kids that their parents are not able to take them on a big fancy vacation, so going to the county fair is some what of a treat to those little kids and I am sure they appreciate and enjoy it. It doesn't matter how these people or kids are dressed or their appearance WHAT does matter is seeing their little faces when they get to do something like going to the fair. If you think it is so nasty and you think that the people are so nasty then please do us all a favor and stay home, so that the people that do enjoy seeing these kids have fun don't have to look at people like you. Also, I know some people complain about how much it costs to get in at the fair. Well. The Carnies will not come for free, they have to be payed. I understand that it is still hard for some to pay, but I seen signs way before the fair actually came to town telling us what dates it would be here. So, I saved the money to let mine go. I look at it like this, FOR the ones that cannot afford a big vacation, what is 10.00 verses 1,000.00 just for hotel, money for gas and money for food? It is a whole lot cheaper! As, for others smoking, who cares if they smoke. Stay away from them, if you don't like the smoke. It isn't like you are locked in a small room that is smoke filled.

As far as kids running around unattended, I am sure that someone wasn't too far off. I know I allowed mine to go have fun but they always knew where me or who we were with was around close.

I wasn't referring to the small kids there, I was talking about the adults and teenagers using foul language, looking doped up and fighting. I said I felt sorry for the kids for having to be around people like that and alot of parents were displaying this nasty behavior. BTW, you could not escape the cigarette smoke it was EVERYWHERE you turned and you know it. Why don't this area have a fair for the DECENT folk of this community and leave the trash up the "hollers" and when its their turn they can have one of their own, it can be called the Skanknolia fair...I think that would solve the issue..

It's a shame you can't even hold a fair without all the critics coming out of the woodwork to whine about how everyone didn't do things the way THEY thought it should be done. Possums, you are all trashy and low life. I heard about that fair before and i wouldn't let my staff take my dog there. But then again, it's probably alright for "youins". You hillbillies are not the sharpest knives in the drawer. So it does not take much to make you happy. Just some "smokes" and a fat meal will do. The thing that bothers me when we visit WV and Ky is your lack of personal hygiene and toothlessness. No wonder the country laughs at you. The Jesco White stories and Wrong Turn movies are very accurate portrayals of the region. Now you all should pray for a better life and get to work. TaTa for now Lady of Quality

I will not be going back to the fair. We were surrounded by smoke and couldn't get away from it when we were waiting in line. It's sad because I have not ever been around such bad language, fighting, and skanky people in my life. RULES NEED TO BE SET FOR THE FAIR NEXT YEAR!!! No smoking on fairgounds would be an awesome start. All kids like to ride the rides and it's a shame that they have to breathe the smoke! The trashy, senseless people have outnumbered the good in this area. Now I know what the teachers of this county have to deal with and it's not the children it's the classless parents who apparentely don't have a lick of sense.
