Yeah, I agree. I think the reason morons run red lights is so they can hurry up and get to the next red light. If they get to the next red light before anyone else, they can either run that one too, or they can turn right on red and pull out in front of me, even though I have the right of way and there is not a single car behind me ;).I highly doubt that people are running red lights just to save on gasoline. It doesn't make any sense.

You're right, they're not running red lights because of gas prices. They're running red lights because they're afraid to sit at a red light in Akron for fear of being robbed/assaulted/carjacked/kil led |

In March 2000 the average price for a gallon of gas was $1.42 and now its $3.42. Mission accomplished!

Wake up...when are our elected officials going to do something about this!!!??? I am all for capitalism, but this is simply taking advantage of situation after situation. Yesterday, the price of a barrell of oil rose approx. 3% while at the same time a gallon of gasoline rose more than 10% in most places. Everyone knows the gas in the tanks today did not cost $109 a barrell, it was refined months ago at probably $94. So how can they justify raising the prices based on the price of future supplies. Also, why aren't any of our politicians talking about TEMPORARILY removing the gas tax on either the federal or state level? If I'm correct, that's more the .50 per gallon. Let's talk about releasing some of the strategic oil reserves. Lets talk about drilling for oil in Alaska. Natural gas, electric, and telephone were regualted utilities for a long time, maybe its time to regualte the petroleum industry for a while. Why don't the people that we elected to look out for us seem to ever do anything for us? I suggest we vote out EVERY incumbent politician until we get some that are willing to do the job we pay them for.

I could agree with that one. |

And he won it embarrassingly. As in WE were all embarrassed that something like this wound up in court over stupid paper. |
|
|
Correction/clarification: the paper was not stupid, just the people who could not properly PUNCH their damn ballot.

Amen and Hallelujah, brother! |
You nailed it! I could not agree with you more. |

He was not elected....he was SELECTED....still 5 - 4 is still a narrow margin. |

The Supreme Court ruled to stop the cheating by the Dems. Throw out the military overseas absentee ballots which tend to go Republican, count the ones that show "intent" to vote for Algore, look at hanging chads under a magnifying glass for days on end...

BTW, Sam's Club at Chapel Hill was still $3/gal. this morning. They don't gouge every time the price of a barrel of crude rises.

No he didn't. The Supreme Court shouldn't be installing the president. You should check out skolnicksreport.com . |

Bill Clinton being in office had NOTHING to do with people having jobs, lady.

Move back closer to town. Akron is kinda cute now, with a good bus service, all that a big city needs without the gridlock. Or stay in the far away burgs, pay more in taxes, gas, your lawn service, and keep those imports flowing in.
