Does anyone know why Dick and Dora's closed? This restaurant was a Massapequa landmark. My family has been going there for over 50 years. I hope someone will takeover and re-open it.

Permanently closed. A person who was passing by told me they are going to knock it down and build more condo's like they did down the block on the site of Fox's (Arthurs).

This place turned into a hole, food was still ok. The dock was falling appart, bldg was a mess. Great memoried last of the Alhambra classic places. I still miss Foxes (The years of floods took it's toll om Dick & Dora's) Lets build more houses now. LOL

I was so disappointed to hear they closed. My husband's grandparents had a summer home in Massapequa in the 30s and started the tradition. I loved the place and will miss it and the people.

I also disappointed about the closeing of dick & dora's My family as been going there since 1936, not only that but we went to Alhambra beach. Just what we need more housing pretty soon it will standing room only on the parkways , Hope D&D opens again Thanks

Wow. I came back to Massapequa, my home town, and took my girlfriend with me down memory lane. We drove to Dick 'n' Dora's and my heart just sunk. I can't believe it is gone. I'm just grateful to have a treasure chest of fond memories - thank you for that.

The place turned in to White Trash hell hole. Dick & Doras outlived it's stay in Massapequa here comes an Indian Dollar store in it's place or more condo's on Alhambra Road. No get rid of the Sh@it hole boat Marina at the end of Alhambra Road. The guy Joe is an @ss hole and rip off artist. He hawked stolen parts for years.

Dick & Dora was bought by the Town of Oyster Bay. Another way to spend tax money. Massapequa drug trash.
