Good Luck!! Rent is absolutely, unjustifyably outrageous in Maryville. Greed reigns in this city! And another thing, if you should happen to find something reasonable & that's decent, make sure you get anything you agree upon with a landlord in writing. Lots of slumlords here!!!!

I have a 3 bedroom house close to Maryville downtown for $980/month. In very nice historic district area. Lot of storage, stair accessed attic, plank floor with 925 S.F. The main level is 1,850 S.F. If you email me at gbb@inbox.com I can send pics and other info. Greg

Yeah I bet you do think ONLY $980./month is reasonable for rent.

While there are exceptions to every rule, most renters abuse their rental property, don't pay on time if at all and you end up in court. I would rather charge $500 a month instead of 800 but I have to repair so much of what they break I'd not only not make money, I would lose more than its worth. Its a funny thing to me that I lived in the same house for 20 years and managed not to punch holes in the walls or knock doors off of hinges or flush chicken bones down a toilet. Some of my fellow landlords charge unreal high rents to ward off destructive people.

And by the way first poster. It is "I AM looking to rent a house." Saying "I looking to buy a house" sends up a red flag that says you are incapable of caring for a property.
