Marvin said it best in his groundbreaking album("What's Going On") way back in 1972,"Well I'm hooked my friend, to the boy who makes slaves out of men". This drug is a killer and a first time user can easily overdose on it. That album is so visionary and revelent even today that it is scary. He had told Smokey that it was divine inspiration that was guiding his thoughts and fingers as he was writing it. I hope that this young lady can recover from her disease.

Thats to bad about his daughter. But hopefully they will throw the book at her. She could be the one dealing to some that end up in his court. But stance or no stance she will get a slap on the wrist and everyone else thats been in his court is most likely doing 20 yrs. This case should be followed closely by the DISPATCH and the outcome. Heroin is a Horrible drug. I live in the county over from there and it is rampant here too. I have scumbags in my apt complex that deal it and you tell he cops and it falls on deaf ears. I hope she gets jail time, she deserves it.

I hope she gets jail time, she deserves it. I'm more sympathetic to the addicted user. I have no sympathy for the dealer. Lock all of the dealers up. Better yet, all dealers should get the death penalty. And the prescribed method of execution should be one of the following options: Lethal Injection--Electric Chair--Firing Squad--Hanging. All of these options should be available, not just one. That way there will be no worries about botched execution attempts by incompetent fools working for this joke that we're supposed to call a justice system.

poor father...boy is bad, to be so young and have such a long road ahead of her, she could definatly benefit from the opiate blocker, would not solve her addictive personality disorder, but it would make it easier to work on that issue without boy-blinders on. NA is going to be a very booming group in the near future...the biggest problem with heroin is very cheap, and the method of hooking is to "give it away". Usually, someone doing the oft mentioned "gateway" drug, and I have seen some people be perfectly fine with that level of a high for decades, but the truly addictive personality has pains they want to "numb" and it is the hungriest monkey on your back. So, dealers are already supplying a cornucopia of substances of "legal" ill-gotten prescriptions to illegal narcotics, and they give their "BEST" customers a hit or two...REALLY! And some poor souls are THAT ripe for the picking after one dance with the devil in the pale moonlight...they will do ANYTHING to get THAT high, THAT numb, again...but it will never be possible...and THAT is why they call it Chasing the Dragon. Shea, be strong girl, and be VERY glad that you have such a fine example of loving parents, and as Ricky Ricardo so eloquently put it to Lucy..."you got some 'splainin' to do!" Judge and family, be strong, and glad that it was found out now, and not too late. My thoughts are with you guys. To the law enforcement officials that have conducted a month long mission and did it so well, I hope there are many accomodations in the pipeline, and financial help in cleaning up the low life dealers. And for the low life creeps that profit from the weakness of others for their livlihood...I hope you get to feel the pain of every heart that you are responsible for breaking...mothers, fathers sons, daughters, family, friends, neighbors, dogs, cats...I curse you to see the face of YOUR child on every poor soul that has the misfortune to cross your path and get your "good stuff". May your death begin soon and may your life be long and excruciating. There is no real legitimate earthly justice, but for every hit you're responsible for getting into someone's vein...when you get through here...will be waiting for you, and you have to look forward to an eternity of craving to be put out of your misery. And NEVER will.

I agree with the above statement except for one point. Chasing the dragon is when they put boy on foil and burn the foil to inhale the smoke. Steeley Dan mentioned it on their record 'time out of mind', that was in the seventies.

Right now, I feel for the father. He's in an important and very respectable profession and position; and he finds out his daughter is a dirtbag. I would be humiliated. I think he's taking a very good stance on this matter. It's sad that his daughter got caught up in this drug mess (it's sad that ANYONE'S children get involved) but sometimes it just happens and the parent either has no idea or can't do anything that seems to work. There always comes a point where a father must distance himself from his child and let her/him suffer the consequences of her actions. It is hard, but it must be done.

Hayduke - those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. If you have ever known someone who is on drugs, you would know how they can hide the fact from all their love ones - until they are so far in that they need serious help.

Our prayers go out to this Judge ( father ) and his daughter. I can't imagine the pressure he is under at this vary moment. He is going to find that Spiritual as well as Physical help will be needed to come out from the control of the addicion . I have worked with young people for the past 49 years and drugs are the worst problem I have seen in all thoes years.

I have 2 nieces that are addicts, one took loosing her brother to the drug to have the will power to stop using (she has been clean for 1-1/2 years) I am so proud of her. She had tried 2 other time with no success. The other niece does not want to quit and she has 2 children. My thoughts and prayers are with the Judge and his family ... this is not an easy drug to stop taking. Just remember if it takes tough love use it, do not be an enabler. It takes a long time to get the need out of your system. Not a user just an observer.

Sounds like he is handling it as well as he can and deserves respect because of that - not because of his status. And any of you who are bashing an 18 year old girl for getting caught up in something like this - you are worse than she is. She has a long life ahead of her, and hopefully she can come out of her consequences having learned something and become a productive member of society.

It seems to me judges kids can do what ever and only get a slap on their wrist.I personally know about the Judge in Defiance County. Two of his children caused deaths, never were they punished enough to learn what can happen when you committ a crime.I also know about courrption like this going on in Putnam County.

Yup, and your kids never did anything wrong either, right? What about preacher's kids? Cops' kids? Social worker's kids? Anyone else you feel like going after? Sheesh........ kids are kids, they all make mistakes - some larger than others. Some learn from them, some don't. If you have those "perfect genes", please start spitting out kids and encoutrage them to procreate as soon as possible. Just make sure they stay off of welfare and pay their child support, okay?

Let's hear from all the do-gooders about this one. We always hear about the black community and how all of them are drug dealers, so what about Ms Prissy here, she is no different from any other drug dealer, daddy just happens to be a judge. Can't wait to see the outcome of this onel.

My son was one of these picked up yesterday. And let me tell say 18 or above they are an adult and you can stop them from this drug. The Judge is not to blame. Society is to blame! Reading some of the comments make me sick. These are adult whats slaming the parents going to do?? Some of us are victims too of this horrible drug. So know put them in jail were they get no help and most of our jail they still can get the drugs there. I begging for help before it came to this but our police and public office told me there was nothing I could do. Unless I had lots of money to shell out. Pray for these people. Stop cutting everyones throat. Start helping instead of blaming!!
