Here is a great site that touches on many of the things we will be discussing here.

Need to add to that the issue of forbidding communion to people as a rule, this is totally man made also and is not backed up by scripture since we are to be the monitor of our own standing with God and not others. Yet the hard line CoC will not serve communion to others THEY deem unworthy for communion.

Yet another man made doctrine!

Very true! Paul said to examine the assembly to see if they are in the faith - NOT! He said examine YOURSELVES.

more on this after Shawn replies

I wonder if Shawn would partake in the Lord supper with them Church of Christ preachers who hold contrary doctrine.

Folks, please not we are not advocating doctrinal perfect. We are merely pointing out the inconsistencies within the Church of Christ. They are always claiming they are in unity and speak the same things and we have shown this to be false within their cultish denomination.

I would say that since they will not even reply to this thread they know how far off the truth they really are.

Forbidding communion was not a practice in the original Church! But it is a common practice of the pharisee driven false copy of that church.

DOES THIS REFLECT BIBLICAL TEACHING?

In Aug 5, 2009 George Sodini, 48, of Scott Township, Pa. who opened fire on an exercise class of women in a Pittsburgh gym, killing three people and himself. He wrote in his blog just before committing the sin of murder: "I need to remain focused and absorbed COMPLETELY. Last time I tried this, in January, I chickened out. Lets see how this new approach works. Maybe soon, I will see God and Jesus. At least that is what I was told. Eternal life does NOT depend on works. If it did, we will all be in hell. Christ paid for EVERY sin, so how can I or you be judged BY GOD for a sin when the penalty was ALREADY paid. People judge but that does not matter. I was reading the Bible and The Integrity of God beginning yesterday, because soon I will see them."

Sam Morris, Baptist preacher in Stamford, TX wrote an article entitled, "Do A Christian's Sins Damn His Soul"? Here is a quote from the article: "We take the position that a Christian's sins do not damn his soul. The way a Christian lives, what he says, his character, his conduct, or his attitude toward other people have nothing whatever to do with the salvation of his souls...And all the sins he may commit from murder to idolatry will not make his soul in any more danger."

Bill Foster, Baptist preacher in Louisville KY made this comment: "If I killed my wife and mother and debauched a thousand women I couldn't go to hell--in fact, I couldn't go to hell if I wanted to."

Heath you must be very intertaining to talk to, when you wife asks you to go to the store for milk do you bring back bread? If the pattern you hold here is the same that would be the case.

Communion Shawn, communion where was it forbidden to someone? When did the apostles withhold communion to another?

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Scorpio

Something that you've always taken for granted or believed implicitly could have a big question mark hanging over it during the next few weeks. The more entrenched your views are about this, the more difficult it will be to accept that perhaps it's time for a change of opinion or, at the very least, a revaluation of what you think. Mercury turns retro in your house of communications, so do your best to be open-minded now.
