If Kate Klonick had looked a little harder at the occasions when boys dress as girls, she might have seen the less amusing instances when boys use the girly costumes to express contempt for all things female. In Texas, the so-called "Powder Puff Football" game not only gives the girls a chance to play ball like the boys and get injured to show that the girls can't quite measure up to manly sport. The boys, however, have a great time putting on makeup and balloon "breasts" and cheerleader gear to lampoon the most exalted role for girls that high school provides. The performance high point comes when they pop the balloons after which they throw aside the despised girly gear to reemerge as real guys. And then there was the Maryland schoolboy who insisted on his right to play on the girls' field hockey team, complete with the short skirt. But while the girls sweated out the action in uniform shirts, he asserted his invincible guyness by playing shirtless.

Like Dustin Hoffman's "Tootsie," the idea seems to be to show that men could outdo women anytime at being women if they didn't have more important things to do.

I really feel like this falls under this catagory, if you want to continue the discussion, please read this first: http://www.facebook.com/topic.php...

Aleah, I know what you mean, I see little 7-10 year olds dressing up in dresses etc. that clearly expose themselves, its even wrong for the ultra mini skirts and shorts in the teenage community, but thats atleast standable, I just cant stand it when little girls dress like that, and truth is, they don't choose to dress like that, but their parents dress them like that; Makes you wonder if the parents have something going on they are hiding.

But despite this, Halloween is a fun holiday, I cannot deny the candy, but just like EVERY holiday there are risks, if you only think about the risks you will never see the good in some things in life.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Aries

There are mixed messages flying around in the ether today, so be wary about drawing any concrete conclusions from what happens now. Even though you don't realize it, you may be misreading the signs that someone is sending out, which will lead to complications later on. Be especially careful about indulging in romantic daydreams and then believing them.
