What's up with this rude practice McDonald's has instituted? When you have to wait at the drive-thru window for your order, they ask you to pull up. If someone else has already pulled up, they ask you to park in the parking lot and tell you someone will bring your order out to you. When I complained to the home office, they sent me an apology and a coupon. Yet the Martin store continues the practice. I have started refusing to do it. If more people would, maybe we could break them of this.

Amen! They only as you do pull up because they are graded on how long someone sits in the drive thru I have began refusing to pull up as well I figure they have my money..I want my order People behind me can wait just like I can Also 7 times out of 10 the order is wrong NEVER pull away without checking your order first.
They will overcharge if not careful too I had a worker tell me it cost more because "it was special order" Ok you charge more to add cheese to anything but if I say no egg it costs more "not to put something on there' i refused to pay it and waited on management to "reenter my order"

Yep I believe home office should send secret shoppers there on a weekly basis just to see how unorganzized they are here. I travel 4 states for my job and this mcdonalds is by far the worst I have ever been to Food is good service and attitudes are awful

welcome to MARTIN TN, everything in Martin is lousey, we have nothing, and what we do have is not worth the time going there, and then they say SHOP AT HOME--this is such a laugh. Everyone goes somewhere elae to shop. Even our WalMart is the bottem of the barrel. No wonder nothing wants to come to this area. McDonalds NEVER gets an order right,

I have been to many McDonald's throughout the land. I think the Martin McDonald's is the cleanest McDonald's with the best service.

I have been asked to pull up and have my order brought out to me. That's not any huge inconvenience. I ordered something that was not commonly ordered and would take a little longer.(Right now I don't recall what I ordered as this was months ago.)

The person in the car behind me probably appreciated it very much as that person and the persons after her could get their orders more quickly.

McDonald's staff have always been courteous and efficient. The women's restroom has always been very clean - no matter what time of day I have been there. The food has consistently been tasteful. I rate them as a very good McDonald's!!!

i quit using them. worst mcdonalds service around. always the same..pull foreward, and wait 10 mins or they screw up your simple order

If I order something special made, I do not mind pulling forward because I do not want to hold up people behind me...but when all I order is 2 saugage and buscuits and 2 cokes...hello, this is not a hard order What is really bad is when they say Oh I'm sorry we are out of that...when it is a common popular food...isn't that poor managment? Most of the people are very nice in general but they just screw up the orders too often.

oh i am so glad this was started i hate this mcdonalds they suck big time my husband cant eat cheese and everytime we order no cheese what happens they put cheese on it i never leave the drive without checking my bag

I have never been asked to pull forward at this McDonald's, but I have been asked to at others, and even other drive-thru restaurants. It is a common practice when the can't get YOUR order out quickly but the people behind you don't need to suffer because their food will be ready more quickly.

I ALWAYS check my bag at EVERY drive thru because every place is prone to mistakes. The service will only be as good as the employees deliver - and it is difficult to find good help.

My issue with the Martin McDonalds is that my husband likes their Milkshakes and every time he wants one the machine is out of order.

You point out another reason not to have to pull away from the window. Many times your order is incorrect. This needs to be fixed while you are at the window. When they bring it out to you, they dart back inside while you are checking your bag(s). Then if something is not right, you have to get out and go inside. I did this once, and was told by the tactless, inept employee behind the counter I would have to get back in the drive-thru again. Yeah, right! I demanded to see a manager. The manager had to come up and take care of the situation. What a sorry way to do customers.

I have also stopped going to the Martin McDonald's...I go to the UC store and never have an issue...At Martin, I've gotten:
Entire Combo meals missing
Sandwiches with no fries
Missing drinks
No straws
No napkins the last 5 times we went!
Coffee grounds in sweet tea (nasty!)
Sauces with holes all in them smeared around all in the bags
Sandwiches with no meat
Breakfast platters with missing items
and overcharged...
That's not even including all the times they've asked us to pull up or over into the parking lot...
Also, seems that is the only McDonald's around here that charges for sauces...Union City NEVER charges for sauces...

UC is 10x worse. By far.

I ordered my husband an angus burger combo one day, drove home, and the dame thing was bread and condiments. That's it - no meat!

They never get the order right, and I have two kids in car seats. I don't want to get then out just because someone screwed up, and I don't want to get back in line!

AMEN!!! If they are the ones that screw up the order and ask me to pull forward I tell them thats ok I will wait right here. I hate that I am holding people up behind me but if enough people would refuse to pull forward then maybe management would realize they have a real problem at the Martin location. I realize that alot of the workers are "young" but that is not an excuse. They seem to think that once a person drives away they will not return if the order is wrong CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE DRIVING AWAY is highly suggested

If you haven't been asked to pull up at Martin, you are lucky. They do it all the time. As far as being a "common practice", I've never heard of it before Martin McDonald's started doing it. People behind us can wait like we did, it's the nature of a drive-thru to have to wait for the customer in front of you. Besides, I've already given them my money. I'm not leaving until I get my order.

I have been to many drive throughs in the country an they all do it. Secondly they have one thing going for em cute girls thats it lol

The Martin McDonald's is a much cleaner restaurant than most McDonald's restaurants I have visited. I have been there many times and have never had a problem. I am always impressed that the restrooms are so clean.

Its not a matter of them being clean or even a complaint about the inside service Its the drive thru service that sucks so bad.

Doesn't matter. This topic is about their problems at the drive thru. Those that only go through the drive thru aren't affected by how clean their bathrooms are.
