Does anyone recomend this outfit. I asked for a job quote and told them that I was not ready to make up my mind yet. They keep calling. Makes me think that they don't have any work.
seemed good

Back when they were Johnson and Larcom they worked on my CHA unit twice and were very good and fairly priced.

Unfortunately I don't know how they are now that they split.

When they were Johnson & Larcom they could put in a unit but they cannot troubleshoot.I had a problem and they told me nothing was wrong called another company and got it fixed. If you want to get someone to put in a unit that cannot fix it when something goes wrong with it Johnson or Larcom would be the ones to call.

Larcom did our work. We got a whole new heating and cooling system. I was happy with everything they did. Good professional work.

I got a quote from them for a new system about 18 months ago. They wanted $2,200 which sounded high to me. When I asked them to break down the cost, they said $600 of that was labor. I got a different recommendation from a friend and contacted that person. They second person (who has been in business a lot longer) did the job for $1,200. It was less than a one day job to replace my unit, so I thought Larcom's $600 in labor was a little high. Wound up saving $1,000.

You are correct. My guy replaced my system with the same brand as the original system which lasted 20 years and we still saved $1,000 Larcom's price. No one likes to admit they paid too much for something. Wise up, sir.

I was going to mention this earlier, but since I am being challenged, I will. Larcom's people came a year earlier to charge my old unit and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't accept the proper amount of coolant. Turns out the seres of the condenser unit was mismatched to the inside unit. When my guy showed up he recognized this immediately. Why couldn't his people identify the problem as easily? They never figured it out. My hairdresser had them out several times to work on their unit and they couldn't find their problem either. She and her husband wound up getting my guy, too. He fixed it on the first trip. You are free to use who you want, but don't try to get on here and tell me how good they are. It just ain't so.

For service Ross Heat and Air is the best in my opinion. They didn't install my unit, but the person who did went out of business and Ross has been wonderful.

there is an individual in Martin TN that has done several jobs for people I know ...Mitchell Heating and Air, I don't know if that's the correct name of the business but I hear he and his father work together and they are very reliable.

Chad Mitchell and his father have done a lot of work for us - small and large jobs - and all good. Most recently, last fall, they put in a new heating/cooling system at our house. Prices comparable to other quotes and excellent work.

It amazes me how a post about a HVAC Business ends up with a malicious comment about the owner's spouse.

We had complete new system installed by Danny Larcom and have NO COMPLAINTS!!

I would highly reccomend them to anyone :-)

If his wife has been unfatihful, I hope they can work their personal problems out but & it not effect his business. It's not his wife who would be doing the work.....leave that out of the equation!

Thankful it wasn't my preacher....ouch

No, it was a Southern Baptist preacher. There were several threads on Topix a few months ago that had the details, but the pastor's brother-in-law kept getting Topix to delete them. Ironic isn't it? The harder you try to cover something up instead of dealing with it in an honest, open way, the more it keeps coming up.
