Bowie really proved everybody wrong!
The students, teachers, and especially, Ms. Flores should be commended for their hard work. Their dedication and expectations are reflected on the results.:)

MORE like "Its about time" this is where they should always be... These schools should be embarrassed. Finally, lets hope they can stay at this "accepted level"

fishy or not, it's a piss poor achievement. raving about "acceptable"? pathetic. And I know I'm pissing in the wind, but the American public school system is a dark joke that is not going to improve. I don't know why people complain so much about the decline of this country when the older-kid daycare centers the worthless teachers union scum like to call education. And folks, shove that "social learning" argument up your colon, you mediocre cop out leechers. The only social thing learned in your public schools is how to be complacent to mediocrity and how to be a herd-dependent, weasely, piss-mannered opportunist.

LOL! Listen to BS Hater, the CEO of his own company and graduate of nothing but prestigious private schools preach about social engineering.

Tell us genius, with the benefit of a top-notch education, why you can't manage to write in coherent English?

"I don't know why people complain so much about the decline of this country when the older-kid daycare centers the worthless teachers union scum like to call education."

Just what exactly does that mean? That sentence makes no sense whatsoever. Please let us know which private schools YOU went to so that the forces of the market economy will see to it that they promptly go out of business.

I presume this will come right after you show us what an intellectual maverick you are (thinking outside the herd and all) and provide some proof as to the supreme success which surely comes as a result of your ability to think outside the herd.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

What is your point? That what I say is false because it fails your grammar patrol? Damn stupid. Call it artistic license if you may, stupid fuk. This isn't grammar class.

If you didn't comprehend the basic point of what I wrote, that says less about my writing ability and more about your poor comprehension. If you wanted to troll, you should have saved us both precious time and just said "lol you suck".

But let me humor your trolling, I'll state it more plainly: The US public school system is terrible, and the vast majority of teachers are mediocre and talentless losers just getting a paycheck. Furthermore, if you are under the delusion that the US is not in relative decline, that's your whacko prerogative and I feel no need to acknowledge it unless you can offer some believable material to support it. Though if you really deny it, I suggest you pull your head out of the sand, or whichever hole it's in.

I am very proud of SISD under the direction of Dr. Atkinson to see our scores come up. Everyone has worked very hard. We had been going down and so happy we are going in the right direction now. It is awesome.

El Paso public schools as a whole are pitiful. Ultimately, the pendejos who pop out kid after kid and then send them off to school for babysitting are to blame. For kicks, attend a truancy court sometime. Listen to the pathetic parents tell the judge about all of the lame reasons why Junior and Juniorette have a ton of unexcused absences and are failing most of their courses.

"Well, judge, I see Junior walking out the door every morneeng. He says he ees going to la escuela, and I theenk he ees there all day. I dunno any better because my six other cheeldrens keep me muy busy."

I am not exaggerating. And they are the parents who even bother to show up in court after getting a summons. I really enjoy it when the judge issues an arrest warrant and a constable hauls their sorry asses to jail.

For all you who think being a teacher is so easy... Most local districts are hiring. You should try it you may find the grass isn't always greener on the other bside!

No thanks. The pay sucks and most of the kids take after their irresponsible, ungrateful parents.

I don't think being a teacher is easy but then it is a job--and jobs are meant to be work. They pay you a paycheck. The taxpayers just want you to do the job you are paid to do. If you are unhappy perhaps a different line of work can be suggested. But in the meantime be proud of SISD and our great TAKS scores. Last year we had 5 recognized schools and now we 22 with 3 of them exemplary. WOW!

Who said it was "easy"? I'm sure it is a lot of work badly babysitting older children, putting them to sleep with droning sessions, and making sure they leave no marks on each other between classes. And high school teachers; what would posses somebody to choose to deal with piss mannered young adults with for a living? Yeah, and be sure to give them no more responsibility than children. I guess only the truly clueless or pathetic would fall into that work. In a rich yuppie district, maybe if the pay is great, and that's a huge maybe. But in places like El Paso, hahaha, god you people, what are you thinking?? If skilled people avoided public school teacher jobs, they would have to be forced down and redone, hopefully. Well, it's more like the good people already avoid this "career" like the plague and school districts are nowadays happy to survive on whoever they can get. Union leeches, molesters, and generally just people off the street with some paper from a degree mill.

Only the the truly unselfish individuals that rise above all the negative mentality are teachers. It's true, some are in it for the wrong reasons, but many are in it to make a difference and help to create a positive influence on our future.

Now tell me, what are YOU doing to make a difference?

Oh, nothing. Right...that's exactly what I thought.

Umm, we're paying you our property taxes...but we work 12 months instead of 8 in order to afford it.

You wrote all that to correct two commas? Grammatical mysfunction notwithstanding, you hardly sustain the stature by which to condescend.

Expanding 9 words into 300 takes some creativity, I stipulate, but it hardly lives up to Shakespeare's plateau of wit; Involving brevity.

OOOOPs, could have misused a semi-colon there, could you please help with that and then insult me?

If you'd like to buy stock, I actually do own a majority share in a publicly traded company... after attending a state university.

Not that this is the root of the problem, but a symptom, but _most_are_ in it for the wrong reason, this is a point I already made.
Now tell me, what are YOU doing to make a difference?
Oh, nothing. Right...that's exactly what I thought.
Do you often talk to yourself? You must be a teacher with such lack of logic.

What am I doing about it? Not accepting it and calling it out, unlike people like you who toss around confetti denying reality while it continues to rot. You are not making a difference and you are not fixing anything, you are taking up space and even being an obstacle in any hope of it's repair.

Ummmm, teachers are trying to undo all those years of bad parenting (no skills, manners, morals), but teachers are expected to do that in a year instead of the 14 years it took their parents with no luck... Maybe you should work overtime to compensate for what teachers are doing since your taxes are going to the "higher-ups" rather than the teacher that is trying to help your child.
