Wow, looks like I won't even bother going there this year. This place keeps sliding further and further down the drain.

I think that many of the people posting here have not gone to the Octoberfest and are talking without facts
I went tonight for dinner and had a great time the food was great the restaurant was packed and the people were having a good time including some children it was very entertaining--then we went to the tent and it was packed a great fun band the people were having a good time saw lots of youg germans, hispanics orientals etc having a fabulous time lots of drinking which gave me a concern that young people drink to much but it was undeniable that the Alpine Village is alive and well

After two years of a "C" rating from the health department, Alpine V has FINALLY cleaned it up to a fairly strong "A". By the way, you correct the offense and get re-inspected for a small fee, but they chose to live two years with that embarrassing "C".
I was equally disgusted by the "C" rating, as an employee it was embarrassing. However, I would like to let you know that the "C" rating only lasted about 3 months (far too long, in any case) not 2 years.

Have been going for many years, with several families but this year NOBODY is planning on attending that Im aware of.
The reasons:

:You pushed the little guy out, so now you dont get our Octoberfest $$$$.

:Last year the staff was rude, like you are just some cattle in line. And why not get some english speaking from help.(Its a GERMAN celebration and you need to know how to speak spanish to deal with the staff

:Not a safe place to go, even on family night always some trouble.

:Same old event, in the SAME OLD facility.

Forget it, would rather not celebrate this year than go to Alpine Toilet

But we can all look up a C rating on the LA County Health website. The difference between an A and B is minor, but B to C is like eating off a toilet.
Any place getting a C is not some place to go and expect it has improved for the long term. Just my thoughts.

I have been to the brewerfest at the Angel City brewery and the Octoberfest beer was as good as I remembered. The owner of Alpine Village came in and threw a tantrum, and demanded the doors to the brewery be shut. It was really sad to see him so upset to see Angel City Brewery doing so well. Go Angel City.
