It is also a fact many people in the area feel sick and have severe symptoms in Marissa's Waste Management landfill gasses. The exact chemical is unidentified but the symptoms are acid burns in airways, headache, dehydration, chronic fatege, rapid heart beat, very high blood pressure and more. Conventional treatments don't work unless removed from smell for 7 days or more.

Much is gossip. That's what happens without names.

The dump does smell horrible. It smells like Alton and Woodriver around Marissa, but people live there because there are good paying jobs. Marissa is just a shithole and now it smells like one.Good luck selling a house in this town, there is no draw, only drawbacks. And the smell is absolutely horrible.

Makes me wonder why Waste Management and Marissa employees can't smell what we do.

The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency in Collinsville has issued new instruction on landfill gas exposure in Marissa and surrounding communities.

"if any person has physical effects from landfill gas call 911". The police and/or fire department will summon the EPA at any hour.

Authority is Illinois EPA Collinsville Illinois.

Today's reports say density of landfill gas has decreased from New Year week. Freezing has helped.

The gas is very thick this morning. Go to a MD like all the rest of the poisons landfill gas victims. As time goes on more and more victims are to be expected. The damages to your body are cumulative. Stay out of the gas.
