I can't stand what she is doing, driving all those people away from Christ with her hatefulled rants. She portrays NONE of the spirit that Jesus showed when he was on Earth.

AND the Bible says specifically for women to remain quite in church, she is NOT a preacher in my book.

Lucy is an uneducated misinformed person. She is filled with hatred and the articles she writes in the Crittenden Press are fileld with half truths and a display of her hatred. She has done more than any other person in the county to keep the people divided. Soemtimes she will express a valid point and soemtiems she even may make sense. But that is nto often. Where did she come from? What's her backgroun? Is that soemthing that may have led to her divisioness? Her wrtitten articles are mainly political and not religious. I was wonderign if what she realaly wants to do in life is to be a politician?

I THINK YOU BOTH ARE IDIOTS.

The worse thing about the whole situation is Lucy Tedrick is a woman doing a mans job because the majority of the church men down in Crittenden County dont have the guts to tell the truth in such a manner a Ms. Tedrick does.

HaHa---why the name calling??Surely you can express yourself better than calling people "idiots". You apparently know nothing of very little about Lucy and her ravings. She is constantly quoting early politicians and makes untold references to Hitler. Id that really necessary could those references really be from a "woman of God". I think not! And I will respect your differences from my thinking.

According to the headlines in the Crittenden Press, we have "A Lesson In socialism, Communism & Health Care". The lesson is by Lucy Tedrick. She writes that the government is taking over banks, the automobile industry and insurance companies. The last time I checked my bank is operating as usual AND the government has not taken over. Neither has the government taken over the auto industry or insurance industry. Perhaps Ms. Tedrick meant to write the government had made some loans and backed some other wise failing financial matters. She writs that the government is "making back door deals with unions". Does she meal good deals or bad deals and I have searched the news media and cannot find such undertakings anywhere. Her writing about the health bill is a clear indication that she hasn't even read the bill and I can understand why with it's length and difficulty to understand. Even out elected representatives have not read that proposed legislation.Isn't it nice to live in a country where a writer can write almost anything they want whether it is correct of not?

If you believe what you wrote, you must have had blinders on while searching. As for writing anything you want, looks like that's what you did with all your incorrect spelled words but thats alright, it helps clarify why you don't understand what's happening in our world.

Lucy represents all the evil things she writes about. As a resident of Marion, I can assure you, she has very few fans. One of her church members was an employee of the local paper for 20+ years and they are under the misunderstanding that people agree with Lucy's stance. However, they are sadly mistaken and it has hurt their business in ways they don't even realize. She spews hate and does not represent the virtues mentioned in my Bible.
I have a feeling she is in for a rude awakening when meeting her maker!

TIP---sorry I upset you TIP---spell check doesn't always get all the words---and on the other hand I am from KY so perhaps spelling is not one of my strong points. Now about my lack of understanding about what is going on in the world. Perhaps you could enlighten me with all your brilliance about the small town of Marion, KY and Ms. Tedrick. If you really believe what Lucy is writing about---then we should ask her to pray for you. Let's see--- one is constantly writing about political issues which reflect very little understanding of the politics, then you write some remarks to chastise me. Whoa!!! back up and take a look before you get too engrossed in fiction rather than fact. Not that there is anything wrong with "fiction".Perhaps there is where I am totally wrong---as Ms. Tedrick may in fact be writing fiction and I just misread??? My posting upset you because you actually know the truth and facts---you just don't want to accept it. Have a great day TPI--TOP--YIP----no it's TIP.

NOT A LUCY FAN----being from Marion I totally agree with you. I just don't understand why her columns are always political with a little religion taken out of context and "dropped in" and at the same time being listed as a religious column. I have no issue with her if she wants to change the title to the "political column". It's sad that the column is carried as "religious views". I have been told though by many to just ignore her. Wish I could, thanks for the post.

According to a public listing, Lucy Tedrick operates a private church school. In a State listing, a school was listed at her church address, however there were only 3 or 4 students listed as attending. Does anyone know if this is an accredited school and are those numbers for children attending correct? Lastly does anyone know if state or federal aid is being given to this school?

Ky Hillbilly - So glad to see your questions in black and white. Yes, the numbers are correct and yes, she receives aid. I have often voiced my concerns about her writing in her columns about a "free ride" and free hand-out when she is the recipient of such programs! Such a hypocrite. I, too, have never understood her column being listed as religious. It is FAR from it, spewing hate and judgement. I could write a 1,000 page book on her hypocritical rants, but we all know she is as far from a Christian as east is from west!

No, Carolinablue.....it is quite dangerous and erroneous to compare someone who divides and condemns and judges to someone who preached love, forgiveness and acceptance. All you have to do is read Jesus' words to realize they are as different as oil and water. Jesus preached to the masses and was quick to respond to those who judged. There are examples after examples. Lucy has no acceptance for the majority of people and she preaches hate and includes a very small circle of acceptance. It is HER way, not Jesus way. That is a BIG difference. Perhaps if she preached on Jesus's words instead of her political rants; then she might find her way back.

carolinablue------sorry but until you have lived in this small town I think it would hard for an outsider to understand.. "Not a Lucy fan" is exactly correct. I have often wondered though why the other ministers in the area don't feel threaten. Then I read another of her columns and guess what? She attacks then too. Looks like she attacks anyone who does not agree with her. I would love to see one of her columns where she preaches love, understanding, forgiveness, etc. Don't think though that is going to happen. On the other hand this is what makes our country great---this very freedom. Have a great day!

Carolinablue - I'm just wondering if you subscribe to the Crittenden Press or have subscribed to the online version? That would give you a VERY clear idea of Lucy's journey into
political judgment and rants!
I like the idea of praying for love, peace and prosperity in our little town. And while you're at it, please lift up all the many ministers that are preaching the word of God and who are interested in helping, not hurting God's people.

LIKE I SAID MS. LUCY TEDRICK IS BEING COMPELLED TO DO A MANS JOB.

Due to the fact there are no men in Crittenden County that have enough guts to actively speak out against atheism, socialism and sexual perversions such as homosexuality.
That womans got more guts in her little toe than the majority of Crittenden County men preachers all put together. She is flat out putting all those sissy preachers to shame. Sad but true.

A woman of faith cannot 'stand up and do a mans work' when God commands her not to......
