Det. Lehn, on behalf of my family, I want to personally thank you on the great job you have done on this case. I know it was not just you alone but I know you took this case personally and quickly brought this case to a time where charges can be filed. Now it is the time for the courts to complete this closure for my family. As a citizen, it makes me proud on how the community can come together and create such great results. Let this horrific tragedy be a lesson that when a communtiy comes together many great results will continue to happen.

They probably would have killed them regardless. They were expecting like 50 pounds. I don't think one pound would have made them happy.

The probable cause said the robbers/murders knew that the 50 pounds was being sold out of there. So they would have known the amount of weed they were moving and once they got what was left they would have just left. But they for sure didn't believe a house moving that much dope didn't have anything left.

Two young, unmarried mothers living in a home where drugs and guns were prominent. They obviously were involved in some way. To those of you who live in that community. To the hundreds who mourned and cried out for justice. How does this come to an end? You have the poor, uneducated, preying on each other. Drugs, guns, no fathers around. Just how do you see this ever ending? It's horribly sad to see something like this happen. It was horrible to see the Latino family gunned down. Problem is, I don't see it ending.

Everybody's got a criminal record. The people in the house said the dope had been moved.
Duh!
It was drug related all along.
As Fred Garvin MP says, "drugs, guns, no fathers around".
The victims aren't exactly innocent.

My guess is that they did not go there with the intention of killing anyone. These guys wanted to make money and knew that it would be unlikely that these dope dealers would report to the police that their dope got stolen. Something happened to make these guys change their plan from robbery to murder.

I was sure drugs were involved. I am sympathetic to the murder victims, but those mothers had no business having marijuana in the same house as small children. Look what their ignorance reaped.

The mothers? Clearly not blameless, but I somehow doubt the infants were dealing weed out of their cribs.

It doesn't matter if the guys went there to steal diamonds or pot. They went to take advantage of a couple women.
To my knowledge the cops have not said whether any large quantities of pot were found.

With all that having been very well said we still remain back to square-root-one just as before, and for the next time.

I'll agree that community involvement can do wonders, but as long as we have serious flaws within our "Due Process of Law" resulting in community members often end up banging their heads against a brick wall.

What has been done since the Hamilton Street massacre of 7-slain -? Nothing but more rhetoric trying to impress or convince the public.

Until our Judicators, courts, Prosecutors put back into their vocabulary the word "Deterrent" and utilize the meaning of the word we'll continue to have what occurred on Hovey Street. It was just a matter of time.
The concern over being a civilized society must be looked at a little closer.

RE: To much civil rights granted to a violent criminal is not right. Some of their violent crimes go beyond horrendous and should not entitle them to any social rights. This in itself is ludicrous, and we wonder why we have the "revolving-door" scenario for criminals that we do.

More emphasis needs to be placed on protecting Women and Children, and our society with harsh Deterrents that are enforced and a little less on the income or revenue's gained by the present "Due Process of Law". Those salaries for the above three mentioned are quite adequate. Now when are they going to start earning it by protecting potential victims in the city. We need stronger deterrents and they need to be enforced. We also could have built an adequate prison for the cost of our resent stadium. That too is just a suggestion. Which one is needed more -?

It sounds like a lot of people have made some bad decisions, mothers who had kids single and in a drug house, men who tried to support themselves by selling drugs because the education system failed them. We need to make sure they get some good education so they can become productive citizens.

I am so sick of hearing how they were unwed, do you think if they were married it would change the fact that there will always be people who want what others have?

I am praying I find the 50 pounds of weed. This must have been a major drug house. The reason the neighbors didnt turn them in, is they got thier weed from them. Now where are all the defenders of the girls who said they werent dealing.
