The first rounds of depositions begin Friday, in the lawsuit naming Butler and others in lawsuit filed in circuit court. The lawsuit includes stipulations of fraud levied against Butler, who even though entered into a contract regarding the disposition of the old marion memorial hospital - said he never intended to pay or make good on the contract.
Next up to set for deposition, the current and past city clerk(s). Testimony from one of those depositions includes statements which indicate she was coached under fear of retaliation for her previous statements regarding the on-going dilemma surrounding the old hospital in marion.
Recently demolished, the building would have been sold years ago, allowing for revenues to be realized for the city.
However, the delays and tactics associated with the breach of contract implemented by Mayor Butler regarding the sale of the empty structure, resulted in huge loss of revenue to taxpayers.
This lawsuit is scheduled for an early spring trial in Williamson County Circuit Court.

mayor butler once again found himself under the bus, as councilman gribble and ex councilman turnbull explained they were misled by the mayor regarding issues surrounding the sale of the old marion memorial hospital. Depositions revealed that turnbull and gribble neither one knew exactly what they had voted on, with regard to the contract before the city council as it related to the sale of the vacant… and now gone… building.

Butler, when asked repeatedly about his opinion of the documents placed before him… documents voted on by council members, but never seen until the deposition itself… Butler could only stare forward, and reply, "the documents speak for themselves…" time and again… the mayor's only reply when faced with overwhelming and damming evidence, posed as questions… "the documents speak for themselves…"

Even the well-known semantics of the city's attorney fell short of the looks on the faces of the elected councilmen (and city attorney) as the signed by butler documents appeared, and no reply was possible from those who had signed what they were told… but, found out they were NOT told the TRUTH by mayor Butler.

Now, the fraud case against the city and butler may have another turn, as it now appears that the mayor actually sold the council a bill of goods they did not know they bought. This is sure to cost taxpayers more than six figures to settle. However, bob's ego could cost us all a whole lot more once this gets to trial!

The interesting thing is, the city is only being sued for the UNPAID contract amount.

Butler could have elected to honor the contract he signed and had no legal fees… and the hospital would have been sold. And the taxpayers could have recouped as much as a million dollars in loss, fees and deterioration. Instead, butler gets the taxpayers tied up in a suit in which he not only lied to the contract holder, but he had egg on his face when the contract and minutes appeared for their depositions and were compared to discover he lied to the council as well.

How many more lies and lawsuits will it take? That's right… ask questions… show them their documents and ask how they thought they would get away with these shenanigans?! Show up and take responsibility, take back your town and your taxes! Make these elected officials understand that we DEMAND the truth! NOTHING else is acceptable.å

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Taurus

Someone isn't mucking about today, and if they're annoyed about something they'll come right out with it. This means you could be on the receiving end of some zingers, but equally it means that you'll be giving as good as you get. Now, although it will be very tempting to let off steam by giving someone an earful, aren't there better directions in which to channel your energy?
