Moving to Marianna

I am moving to Marianna for work and was interested in where the best areas were to rent a house. I believe I will be there around two to three years. I'd like to find something in a nice part of town with reasonable rent.

Look for something on the north side. Lots of charming homes for rent. There are not many apartments to rent, but there are a few. Have you checked with a realtor?

It is best to contact a realtor... most of the time they know who has what and where they are...

I haven't had a chance to cheack with anyone yet. I am going down next week to take a look around and make some plans a head of time.

After thinking about, I'll just come out with it, stay away from anything ERA realty, its a large firm and realtors work pretty much unsupervized.
Ambitious- Fast talkin-and. pretty much unprofessional- Sorry Ms. Milton, but that place needs some cleaning up.

There is a house for rent on Wildwood Circle sign in front, won't have to deal with realtors...it's off of Old Cottondale Road...super nice area...good luck

It may depend on where will you be working. Also, do you prefer living in the country or city(lol).

U need to think about it really hard before moving to Marianna. Not much to this town. No jobs, no good food, not much reason to move here. I made the mistake but will be leaving here next week. A few good people here but alot of no goods here. Sorry Marianna but thats just the way it is.

Ahh, this is obviously a set up just to make a point about a local realtor. Come on, why would anyone want to move to Marianna after viewing this site. From an outsider, Marianna has to seem like the last place anyone would want to relocate - even if it's for just "2-3 years". And..."lots of 'charming' homes on the north side of town". That "REALTOR JARGON".

I am not a realtor, but I would say Marianna has its pros and cons. When people die here we hope they go to a better place, which is about an hour to 45 minutes in any direction.

If you are moving here you can check with the local newspaper and ERA they have rental property there!

I just wanted you to know I saw a nice place for rent near Compass Lake yesterday. It's a 2/2 home in excellent condition on 1 acre. We were going to rent it but we need a 3/2. Too many kids...LOL

I wouldn't move to Marianna, bub. And if you have kids, especially keep them away from the schools around here. Too much drama.

There are politics, drama, good ol boy system etc everywhere you go. Even big cities have neighborhoods, which, would have the same problems.

Have you ever visited the Topix sites of other towns and cities. They don't look like Marianna's mess. That says something about this place...and it isn't something good. Don't move here! If you can go somewhere else, do so. The schools are bad, the recreation dept. is awful, the people are worse.

I have lived here off & on for the last 30 years, & I can tell you should run as far in the opposite direction as soon as possible. This has got to be the worst place on earth live. Everybody sleeps with everybody's wife or husband & they are probably related in some way. Politics seem to play the biggest role as well, I feel for you being the "New kid in town". Unless you have a direct conncetion to someone with a high stature, don't expect to make it too far by hard work & honesty. If my roots weren't so deeply planted, I would be on the first plane out of this pathetic place...good luck to you!!!(you're going to need it)

I wouldnt live in Marianna for anything.Ive been to it often and it blows ass.There is no way id live there

For all of those who talked bad about Marianna, GET OFF THE SITE! Why do you check it if you don't like it. Also, People from other cities can post on here or may be from other areas, not just Marianna

Just say no to moving to Marianna. Go to Panama city Beach
