I reside here the towns name is Marceline its a very quiet town dedicated to Walt Disney himself...If you ever been to Disney Land and or Disney world and walked down the Main street... Walt Disney took the down town Marceline and rebuilt in his amusement parks....you will see the clocks on the corners and the benches outside...the buildings are very old.....you can also see Walt Disney's home as you enter Marceline and his Barn off to the right field.
If you would like any more information I would be glad to help you out.

Walt was born at 1249 tripp avenue in Chicago, Illionois...his hometown was Marceline, Missouri. They do not give an adress for where he lived there where i have looked except for a Walt Disney Elementary school...if would like to know where the meuseum or house is just to look...I'm a huge Walt Disney fan and I wish him a happy 1 day until his birthday!

He lived here only 5 or 6 months is what I have heard so where do they get off saying his boyhood home. If you have ever been there you will see there isn't much, except for very high utilities so I have heard.Isn't that a shame. Walt Disney I have heard won't let the town do too much because of copyright infringement. The population there is declining badly. Francis from California

Walt Disney was born in Chicago in 1901. He moved with his family to Marceline, MO in 1906 and lived there until 1911 when the family moved to Kansas City. Walt said "To tell the truth, more things of importance happened to me in Marceline than ever happened since..." He was a good friend to the town and left a wonderful legacy. The museum is a real treat, housed in the old Santa Fe depot, open April to October. The home is not open to the public but the farm and barn ("Walt's Happy Place") is open year round. I lived in Marceline from 1979 through 1981 and served as pastor of First Baptist Church. I do not enjoy criticism of a town I loved so much ... still do. What a charming place! Having visited three of the Disney parks, I can attest to the fact that elements of "Main Street USA" appear clearly in those parks. No wonder Mr. Disney loved the town. What great memories! I love it and miss it still.
