Marysville Man Injured In Lake Erie Boat Explosion

A Union County man was in serious condition Friday after he was injured in a boat explosion on Lake Erie.

After surviving a boat explosion myself after refueling and heading out to enjoy a day of fishing, I can totally understand the seriousness of this accident. Too often people fuel their boats but forget to put on the blowers or don't leave them on long enough after refueling. My thoughts and prayers go out to this gentleman and his family.

Thanks for the well wishes! After seven weeks, three hospitals, and four weeks on the ventilator my dad is finally recovering and doing well. At present time he is getting rehab at a local nursing home and has managed to walk about 60 feet on his third day of rehab. At 84, he is the most determined man you'll ever find, has always been a fighter. The blowers were still on from refueling and cause was deternined to be a stuck choke on carb.
