<quoted text> why are you responding to this post about how you say his name? This comment was about an officer leaving and going to the city. And why are you criticizing him for "stash" when you're posting under a fake name? Why not use the name your ma gave you?? Little bit hypocritical don't ya think
You tell 'em. I don't even mind how far you traveled to do so Michael S. How come you didn't capitalize them? Just asking, not playing an English teacher or nothing like that!
Very excellent post regardless! FAke namers are coward sucks!

All I got was ''sorry someone stole it outta the evidence room''. So I know first hand that evidence disappears. Are you kidding. That ain't funny one dang bit! When, what did ya do about it? What can be done about it? That ain't right. It was stolen outta the sheriff office! Perhaps you could write a letter to the editor. Was Leo in charge. Name names Jumpin. Oh wait, that would mean you would have to name yours. Oops, nevermind! I ain't doubting your word. I psst really, as if it happened to me or something. I know they don't like their names pronounced and the last thing they want to be called is sir. Sounds too much like occifer I think or officer perhaps. Stash is pretty easy to pronounce and sounds like the man for the job. You all should really shock the neighborhood and shake it up a bit as well. Vote your opinions!

I worked with Stash for several years, found him to be an honest straight forward man who understands the law but more than that has the maturity to know how and when to apply it. Good luck Stash, the county needs you! Your sign looks good in my Moms yard! But smile more...lol and lets get you a new picture...told ya!!!(smile)

Have not replied in awhile. So to "just getting by": If I am elected, I plan to address all law violations and those who violate them in accordance with the law. Nothing more, nothing less. As far as pressure on DA, the Sheriff has no authority over that office. When it comes to putting law violators in front of the judge, the buck stops with the DA. To "Jumping Jack Flash": I hope that if I do get elected that we can track down your evidence. I cannot answer you right now because I have no idea what the situation is in reference to your problem. But if I win, give me a call in January. To "mmmhmmm-sure": I do not recall ever chewing out anyone for mispronouncing my name.(Unless you were in the Marines with me. As a Platoon Sergeant, I handed butt-chewings out on a regular basis! That was basically the job description!) Please elaborate on the situation. Perhaps I will remember it. I will own up to it. I am quite sure that if this did happen, there is far more to the story. As far as bearing the name Stanley, I am proud of that name. It happens to be the same name as my father. So if somebody were to call me Stanley, it certainly would not offend me however, I probably will not acknowledge. I will probably be looking for my dad. I have gone by Stash my entire life. I asked my parents years ago why they call me Stash and I was told it would alleviate confusion around the house as to who was being summoned. So instead of calling me Junior, my mom decided on Stash. If you need to know the particulars on this matter, I can ask them for more details. So to answer your question, I do go by the name given by my "ma". To "what ever": I have only been in contact with two neighbors about my trash and I made initial contact on both. You posted this story, so I will lay it out for all to read. After I moved here, I started having problems with a dog coming into my yard, knocking over my trash cans and dragging my trash over my yard. After several weeks, I located the owner of the dog in question. I contacted the owners and was told that the dog did not belong to them, that it only lived at their house. I do not understand that logic, but okay. I was then informed that their yard contained my trash from that particular dog dragging it in. Knowing that I was obviously failing in my attempt to handle this situation on my own and to avoid further confrontation, I contacted the Sheriff. I was informed by him that if my neighbor has a dog living at her home, she has assumed responsibility of that animal. I was then told by the Sheriff that he would take care of it. I do know a deputy spoke with my neighbors that day however, I do not know what the conversation consisted of. The other neighbor I spoke with about my trash, I apologized and was informed by them not to worry with the trash being dragged in by the dog. I picked it up anyway and will continue if I see it there as they are caught in the middle. As for the first neighbors mentioned, I do not feel I need to clean their yard of a mess by their dog. If you are referring to another neighbor, then I am unaware and would be happy to clean it up. I thought this situation had been resolved but apparently not. So, to all reading... Am I responsible for this? My trash in my trash cans in my yard being dragged into my neighbor's yard by their own dog? I would like some public opinion on this. Also keep in mind that I heard I was going to be charged with littering myself and again spoke with the Sheriff and was told absolutely not. So please... Share your thoughts.

NO, you are not responsible for irresponsible dog owners. But "they" will try and make you feel like you are. I don't have any dogs but I would NEVER feel responsible for what others dogs did and would not clean up a thing. People that have dogs often put them on an equal with people and will NOT contain their animals (yes, they are DOGS, aminals, NOT people).
Dog owners think their ANIMALS should run free, esp. on other peoples property and precious Fido can't do anything wrong (on equal with Jesus)
"Run free, my love and hopefully you won't be run over by a vehicle. I will not take responsibility for you or what you may do, my dear innocent dog but you are FREE to run like the wind. If anyone finds fault in you, then I will hate them forever". signed by irrational doglover
As you can see I am very biased in my beliefs. LOL

Could have the people charged with animal neglect for not containing them on their property. The people hate you anyway so what difference does it make? Give them a real reason to hate.
Or you could get a fairly tall trash can with a lid that has open handles and use one of the HD black rubber straps with s-hooks to hold the lid on tight. Strap trash can to a tree or post. If dog tears up trash can, take them to small claims court to recoup.
I personally put any (frozen) meat scraps in the trash right before I take it out to the road. That way all the lovely smells are not there to entice, cause it's still froze when it's picked up. I don't leave the trash can out overnight, put on road about 2-3 hours before pick-up.
I like the idea of building a wood box (free pallets) with a heavy lid, handle to lift with, surrounded on other 3 sides with razor wire.(LOL)

what ever wrote: the ownership of the dog is jest hearsay. i know they do not have a dog, there rot dided 5 years ago. maybe people who dump dogs should be delt with I know all parties involved and another neighbor that the dog knocked over their trash cans (with lids)on their front porch and strung trash about. Then your friend picked up the trash and dropped it back off in that neighbors drive way instead of throwing it away since it was already in a trashcan before the dog drug it about. If you feed it and its staying at your house it's pretty much your dog. And it's not anybody else's responsibility to clean up your yard if that is your dog. Maybe you need to get facts straight before trying to post one sided allegations on "hearsay" they should have gotten rid of the dog if it's "not hers" and was causing problems.

I just love how people feed a dog, dog is at their house, yet it's not their dog. Yeah, right. Legally the dog is considered theirs.
If the involved party swears the dog is not theirs then I'd take it to an animal shelter where hopefully the dog will be adopted by a responsible, rational person.

Too bad there isn't animal control in rural areas. First I'd contain my trash (as above stated) as securely as possible. If that didn't work, then try and get the dogs' owners fined for animal neglect. When the dog starts costing them money then maybe they will take action to get rid of or secure it.
Above all else, document all, preferably with pics backing the statement. Document. If it's not documented, then it didn't happen. May take a while but the wheels of justice grind slow sometimes.
It is the dog owner at fault, the dog is just doing what dogs do. Make them pay $$$$ for the loose dogs' actions.

The meth problem will not get better until The lenient JUDGES are gone. Why should the sheriffs' dept. do anything when the judges don't stand behind them?
Yes, dog problems do matter as it affects your daily life. I should know as I've had continuous problems since March with similar things. Not resolved yet. Waiting for her next move where I can pounce since this shiot is a game to her.
