No but some perv was arrested then allowed to bond out after he harassed two little boys in the park and threatened them with a gun. I think that's pretty disturbing as well. Happened at the park next to Jer's restaurant.

Many dealings with stray and aggressive dogs? Where do you work, a dog fighting ring? No one should ever have "many dealings" with aggressive dogs unless you create an environment for them and teach them to be aggressive.

You obviously have never been out of marble hill city limits. U live way out in the country like some of us and ull understand just how many aggressive dogs there r. And dogs that like to chase livestock, dog shootings are far more common than u people understand.

What makes you think that you have any more rights to shoot animals than anyone else? There are a lot of rural areas and ALL of those areas have laws, just like the rest of the country. Marble Hill, and even outside its city limits, does have laws. They might not be enforced as often as they should be, but there are laws just like everywhere else. The fact that this incident was well publicized should improve the chances that a fair trial will take place. What happened in this case was against the law, and showed a tremendous lack of respect for life, and a lack of morality. It doesn't matter how far you live outside city limits, you can still get caught when you break the law, and this is a great example of that!

If you haven't lived out on the back roads you wouldn't understand. Having lived on a farm nearly all my life I have seen dogs dropped off, go hungry and run livestock. You might not get mauled but they are a nuisance.

I do live on the back roads, and on a farm. The laws still apply to me, and to everyone else no matter where they live or how much of a "nuisance" stray dogs are. Some people may think you're a nuisance, but because you are living and breathing no one is going to shoot you, burn you, tie you up, and drag you off because of it. If a dog is a nuisance there are other ways to take care of it besides pulling out a gun and ending it's life because it's hungry and doesn't know where to go or what to do. Disgusting.

So what would you do? Let it attack your livestock? Kill your pets? I mean seriously what would you do? Can you afford to feed every stray that comes your way? What if it bit your children? What would you do then? I'm sorry, I would put them out of their misery. You can't be a bleeding heart all of the time, "disgusting" or not.

If the stray was attacking my children I would do whatever it took, and then call the authorities and let them know what happened. If it was attacking my livestock I would call the authorities and they would be there shortly, as I have in the past many times. If they see that the animal is causing harm then they take care of whatever needs to be done. I don't feed stray animals. If a stray dog or cat wanders onto my land I call the animal shelter and they will send someone out to get it. I'm not a bleeding heart, I just have one.

I can't see you living in Bollinger county then, because every time we ever called about strays they did nothing about it. And as far as animal shelters, they euthanize the majority of the strays they get if they aren't adoptable. Which costs money. Alot more than a bullet. I'm not trying to sound mean or to say what those boys did was ok, but you have to be realistic. The last time we had to put a pack of strays down, they were harassing our momma cow while she was calving. No time to wait there. You just have to do what you have to. Once a dog tastes blood like that, there's a good chance it is ruined.

To shoot an aggressive animal is one thing. It's the fact that they drug it, tied it and burnt it. Uncalled for! And if the dig was already dead why the need to tie it? Sick people with a pitiful thought process to go to such measures!

the cops tell us to shoot the dog dead if it is causing a problem. the animal shelter in cape with kill any animal it get from bollinger county because the commisioner wont sign a contract with them.

Exactly, so what do you do? You take matters into your own hands because that's what they tell you. Because no one wants to handle that situation. I have pets, two dogs and cats and I take care of them and that means keeping them penned up.
