moving to Pearsall

my husband & I are considering moving to Pearsall, but after reading some of these discussions, I'm a little concerned. Should I be? Is there any property,old farm house, or older home, etc around with a few+ acres available?

Just like any small town we have our bad eggs. I would recommend you move unless you have small children. Rising children in this town is very hard. They might fall into all the bad things that Pearsall is known for. Older folks seem to be fine and keep to them selves.

I mean you have your good kids, but it seems there are more bad then good.

Pearsall has a corrupt Police Department that protect drug dealers,Frio County Sheriff's Office same thing,on drug delers payroll.

In Pearsall,if you have a nice house,nice car,your a "drug dealer".

If your are new person in town,they get nervous,thinking your posing as a fedral agent,in town.

Here's all the Counties that are corrput,Frio,La Salle,Dimmit,Webb,Maverick,Zap ata,Starr,Hildago,Cameron,Will acy,Brooks,Duvall. All these counties are tied to drug dealers,human smugglers.

Avoid moving to Pearsall at all costs if you can. It is a piece of shyt town, and as previous posters said, it is all corrupt with with drugs, violence, and people who can't keep their noses out of other people's business. And like someone said, if you have young kids, they will most likely be drawn into that lifestyle that is no good. Move somewhere else or move to SA instead.

There are drugs everywhere, so no matter where you go if you teach your children about making good and bad choices, consequences they will be fine. Just mind your own business and stay away from drugs and you will be fine.

I totally agree, don't move to Pearsall. There are no jobs what so ever. The City council does not want to bring more jobs bcuz it affects their friends and families buisness. This town will stay stagnant forever. There are way to many drugs here. Don't get me wrong, there are law-abiding citizens but there are more law breaking citizens then anything. So if you really don't have to, just keep on trucking where your at. Or save some more money to move up somewhere better than here. God Bless

Why would you even considering moving to Pearsall?

Pearsall is a nice place to live. Just like any other town, it has it's Harper Valley Hipocrites. If you have kids, there is pee wee football, and you can always keep up with the children's organizations if you want to help. I try to keep up with the school's activities, love the football and band, I don't go to dances, only family parties. If you want to see a movie we have a nice downtown theater and a few restraunts, I personally like to eat steaks at Brush Country or Cowpokes. Mexican food, Jalisco or La Hacienda. If you're in a hurry you can always pick up tacos at Irma's or Hector's Grill (food to go only). If you want to go out, San Antonio is an hour away. You really don't want to live in S.A., Way to expensive for nothing. If you're close to your immediate family Pearsall can be nice if you want it to.

I agree with"pearsall". I like the kids here and the people are good people. I've lived here for a long time & I would continue to live here if it weren't for my job situation. But I do think the people are good.

Don't listen to these people who say it is a great town. They are dilusional and have no life. Nice theater? Please! And all the restaurants in town are nasty and runned down and the people that work at those places don't even take care of them. Pearsall is so run down that it's pathetic. I was born and raised there and was so happy to get out as soon as I had the chance. The people there are so rude, nasty, and pathetic except for maybe the much older people who live there, but there are too many damn kids running around that their parents don't even take care of. It's an ugly town, period.

Like I said it depends where and when you go out.If your hit the bars and "dance"halls, you're looking for trouble,(anywhere) I would suggest that all these people bashing Pearsall leave, then they wouldn't be contributing to the deteration of a small town.

Its up to you if you want to live here. Pearsall is a small town and a great town to raise your kids in. Its the people who make it they way they want to live.

First of all, bad choice in posting this in topix. Of course, you're going to get negative feedback because the majority of the topix posts are bad.

Second, if you mind your business and don't associate yourself with the "bad seeds" in Pearsall, you'll be fine. Just ignore the gossip because if you look at the people who are talking, they don't have a good reputation anyways so who cares what they say.

Third, don't let others make your decision, what's the worst that could happen. If you don't like Pearsall, just move on to another town.

These people who say it's a great town are probably the ones corrupting it. They want people to move there so that they can get more business for their drug selling and scamming people out of money. I was born and raised there since the 70s. Pearsall got so bad over the years and only gets worse because you have people running the city who are idiots and are losers selling drugs to kids on the street, hoes prostituting themselves to get a place to live or drugs, and even the PD is corrupt. Even the school system is corrupt. You have teachers who use drugs, school board that has no clue, and Administration that are only there to collect a paycheck. If you're smart and want what's best for your kids, DO NOT MOVE TO PEARSALL!!! Us smart people got out when we had the chance and live much better lives than when we were in Pearsall. Don't listen to these ignorants!

All of you forgot to mention the illegals that have moved and made Pearsall look like a small crappy town in Mexico. And yes, the restaurants are quite dirty with no health dept.certificate posted. Way to go Pearsall.

Did you read above on the other posts? The school system is horrible and corrupt. Many teachers using drugs, Administrators who are just there to collect a paycheck, a school board that doesn't know shyt... I mean it's all there and TRUE.

Pearsall is our hometown and the true residents are proud of it!!! It is what you make of it.
