Man arrested for sexual abuse of teenaged girl

I knew Todd and he was honestly one of the biggest jerks I have ever met. How anyone can walk around and act like he did, while at the same time preying on young girls is beyond me. I truly have never seen someone be so arrogant and socially retarded at the same time. He is getting what he deserves now- I'm sure they are treating him in the prison showers like he treated those girls. He is going away for a long time.

As someone who knew todd i find many of these comments amusing. Here parents and players want to write how they knew it yet no one ever said anything. obviously they did not know what they think they did and for some reason they feel the need to point out something now. Whatever may or may not have happened, last i checked in the united states one is innocent until proven guilty. it may be true. it may not be. the point is that not only is his life ruined but those around him are ruined. And worst yet the police care little for the victims. They treat the truly innocent people as pawns in their game. And the rest of you people who say i knew it should be ashamed of yourselves. Moreover, many of his players are excellent field hockey players. but, I imagine that when parents get winning results they are willing to overlook the things that set off these alarms. Whatever the case this whole debacle is not good for anyone involved and in the end justice will not be found. More people will be hurt. And for those of you not involved you can do little to comprehend that justice will not be found. The cops are worse than todd ever was. And that is the truth. They will do whatever they want to put a man in jail even if it causes more harm. And I know we are supposed to protect future young women. But, who is going to protect the young women involved now. Certaintly not the police. And the ridicule of the public is even worse. Seriously, the world is not black and white and this situation does not fall in this catagory.

Good to see the judicial system pulled through on this case and that he's going away for a long time. I played hockey for him briefly, he volunteered to coach a college club team, and as college students we always felt there was always something slightly off about him. We could never pinpoint his age, but he definitely tried to look younger than he actually was, he dyed his hair, shaved his body hair, and had a tongue ring. I also played with him and some of the younger girls he has coached and there definitely was an odd relationship there. These were all ingredients to this horrible chain of events.

I was coached by Todd. and I would never think that some one so nice could do something so hurtful. I knew his girlfriend and she was awesome. She shold have not been fired because of his mistakes. YOu that don't know her can't judge her. We all miss her and thought she was the best couch ever. I think that he is guilty, but I also think those girls are old enough to know better to tell someone!!

I knew Todd well in school @ HHS,did not care much about him then as a person.Played ball with him however never hung out with the guy,this shit he did is f...... wacked/sick/twisted & unreal to think of.I myself have doughter's if it where i in this situation there would be no jail time served? the local police/fbi ect could not help him before i got to his ass,there's no room in the world we live in for people like this what's so ever.My prayer's go out to the family's of the girl's in mentioned Hey asshole guess who's turn it is now in prison?

I have gotten hold of some of the trial documents, and the girlfriend was evasive in her sworn testimony in an August 2007 evidence suppression hearing.

In fact, in a secondary document, she was called "untrustworthy" by the district attorney!

Will be interesting to see what happens with the lawsuit.

It was sad to see that the girl who testified against him was his LOVER..... She willingly had sex with him & she received a scholarship to a D1 program because of his contacts & coaching...... She was over the NY AOC. She took naked pictures of herself & sent them to him. I hope she can sleep at night!!

Anyone person, male or female who is stupid enough to send pictures of themselves butt naked to anyone even someone they know, has got to be either... just plain old stupid, not able to control themselves when they see themselves naked, think everyone wants to look at their ass, wishes the one they sent the pics to will send them to Larry Flynt for publication and will get $$..

Todd Broxmeyer was my coach, but I wasn't on his official team, the Devils, his team in NY. I remember him talking to girls at a field hockey camp we did with him, and other people. His team and him all went "camping". They dared him to dye his hair strawberry blonde, and of course he did. People are saying it's unbelievable, but it is believable. Girls are flirty and skanky nowadays. I feel bad for his girlfriend though, aka one of his assistant coaches.

It is now years later and where are all the other victims you speak about? 40 years is not a fair sentence. I wish that all could see the light...something is just not right with the case. The sentencing was far to much, if it all really happened. The truth MUST me know. It is sad for all.

There has been a long, long list of victims all the way back to 1992.

Jim, you don't have access to the confidential sentencing memo, which included a letter from his earliest victim. She is now, I believe, a lawyer.
