If you are interested in purchasing t-shirts or making a donation, you can go to www.takepride.com and look for the link to "Special Edition: A Race For Heroes". I wish newsday.com had thought to include that in the article...

As a personal friend of Mike I can sincerely say he has been putting every available ounce of energy into this cause, and is eagerly awaiting the race.$30 gets you a specially designed t-shirt and 100% of the proceeds go towards the two very worthy charities...hey it beats running 26.2 miles so if you can spare the money, Mike would truly appreciate it.

When Catholics speak of Chaminade, and all of the school's exceptional acocmplishments, there is always a but...

Here there are no buts, here is an exceptional man, honoring a few exceptional men who have given their life for our country and for freedom everywhere.

Pope Paul VI coined the phrase, "Without justice, there is no peace". God bless all of our young men and women who selflessly risk their lives in defense of our country and for freedom for all.

God bless Captain Keilty, and all of our troops that he honors with his run.

Take the $15000 per month pension of each congressperson and give it to the families of fallen service personnel. Then name federal buildings after the men and women who gave their life for this country- not for lying politicians enriching themselves at the public well.

The Chaminade family ties are strong. As a Chaminade parent, I am so proud to count myself among them. My son exemplifies all that is good about the values of this wonderful school. This young man reaching out to his extended "family" is yet another way to strengthen all of our bonds. The many young men I know from my Chaminade family --they have all made signifigant differences for the better in the world around us.Their families are among those who consistantly reach out and take part in what matters.
God Bless these young men and their families and friends....

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Capricorn

Someone is in a finger-wagging mood and unfortunately they seem to be concentrating on you! Maybe they think you've fallen from grace for some reason, or perhaps you're simply the only person who happens to be around when they feel like letting off steam. Do your best not to fall into an equally critical and disgruntled mood, because it will soon make you feel wretched.
