Guns, what you don't realize is America uses something like 23 million barrels of oil per day. And all that oil used to fight these wars is a pittance in comparison to our usage, so it is in our best interests to keep the flow going. It's like the lie Obama told when he said if we tune up our cars and inflate our tires, we could save just as much oil than we can drill. It was a lie. He knew it, we know it, and the world understands this.
I understand how irritating it is to realize that we--the American people are responsible for these wars for oil, but it's nevertheless the truth. |
The US never stated they would stay out of Arab affairs. Saddam's excuse for going into Kuwait was that they had underground pipelines that punctured his oil wells and they were stealing his oil. Truth of the matter is, he was going to take over the middle-east oil nations one by one. After our invasion of Iraq, they went to his many castles where they found every book possible about dictators of the past--how they became so prevalent, and where they made their mistakes. The US put Saddam in power many years ago. He could care less about borders. Saddam's advisors told him that America was weak, and afraid to engage in war after Vietnam, and his invasion wouldn't draw nothing more than criticism from the US. His advisors were wrong, and so was he. Communism was a real threat to the US because even with our nukes, we would still lose in a large scale war. In the 60's, I remember our teacher was so scared of the cold war, that he took his fear out on us children telling us that if an alarm went off and missiles were launched at the US, we would have time for about one prayer. And as Communism took over Asia and Europe, the threat became stronger all the time. For crying out loud, this is 2009, and our country is being threatened by cavemen and we can't do much about it!!! Now if Israel doesn't belong in the middle-east, where are they supposed to go..... New York city?? Palestine was nothing but waste land until the Jews built it into cities and jobs for the Palestinian people. Of course, now that it is built up, they want the Jews to go elsewhere. That would be like the American Indians telling all other races to leave America because they were here first, and using terrorism to promote their desire. |

The U.S. did say they would stay out of Arab affairs, they didn't print it in the paper but Bush did relay that information to Saddam. Contrary to popular belief Saddam wasn't a fool and wasn't going to go against the U.S. He was basically set up, are you saying the U.S. isn't above setting up people for war? We have been screwing over those countries for years.
I remember the cold war, well at least the 80's part and it was scary. But what nuclear country was ever invaded? They wouldn't even touch France after they got nukes. LOL I know the history of Israel very well. Why did the Jews need a homeland? Why not just stay in Europe and Russia? What you don't know about the Zionists conferences is they also proposed Argentina and Uganda and some other places. What the hell do Arabs need to put up with a Jewish homeland for? If the Europeans didn't like the Jews why should others put up with them? What is funny is the same people that cried about Hitler turned around and became monsters themselves. Actually they had been plotting to steal somebody's land since the 19th century. LOL As for oil. Here is a link of where we get our oil from. http://www.worldpoliticsreview.com/blog/show/... A little more digging and you will find America gets only 19% of its oil from the Persian Gulf region. 50% of our oil comes from the Western Hemisphere. 18% from Africa(we don't care what happens there because Jews don't live there) and 13% from other regions. Explain to me why we are screwing around half way around the world in Arab affairs? Meanwhile we are letting China drill right off our coast. Our country needs to cut the sh@t, they are constantly pissing on our heads and telling us it is raining. |
Corporations are getting rich off these wars on our tax dollars. GE who owns NBC makes money off these wars. The list goes on and on. It is scary to think that the same corporations that control our media make money off of war. |
I think the cold war was not so much about getting nuked, it was more about being overtaken by Communism. You have to figure, if many of these countries threatened to come here and take over America, we would have three choices: be nuked and nuke back, surrender, or fight a war on our shores which we would lose anyway. But even a bigger problem is that if you don't stop Communism, they will continue to take over countries all over the world and drastically outnumber us, just like Saddam had plans on taking over the oil producing countries. As long as we have countries on our side, any kind of invasion would be impossible. For instance: Israel would come to our aid because they have one of the strongest militaries in the world, not to mention they too have nukes. And as countries turn away from Communism, it actually strengthens us, even though that is really no longer a threat. That was then, and today is now where our new enemy is these religious nut cases who sneak into our military like at Fort Hood. Muslims are the largest growing population in the world. |
China outnumbers us. They are communist. They are our biggest trading partners. Funny how propaganda works out. How much do we owe China?
The middle east conflict, as you know, goes back years. Jews make up 2% of the population but they make up a disproportionate amount of political and corporate people in power in America. Seems like the whole word can get along without Israel except America, meanwhile they offer us nothing in return but a bulls eye on our backs. Communism is one thing, but what the Zionist did was just wrong. And I like Jews, they helped greatly in the civil rights movement. I hate Zionists and most true Jews will admit Israel is wrong. I know 2 social conservatives that fill people up with Zionist propaganda. Dennis Prager and Michael Medved. |

Like Communism, the more friends we have, the better. And we don't have many friends in the Middle East. Israel just happens to be one of them, and Kuwait is another. Saudi Arabia? I don't know about them. They are two faced in my opinion. No matter how you slice it or dice it, it's all about oil. But I digress.
Getting back to topic, here is a video of Nancy Piglosi dodging the jail question. She was asked several times, but refused to give the reporter a straight answer. It's kind of funny. http://www.youtube.com/watch... |

I can't stand Pelosi. I don't trust her word for sh@t.
| ||||
I don't think anybody does. I understand that they were anxious to have the first woman Speaker of the House, but they made a bad decision with that one.
Sure seems like there's some kind of movement going on to bring the country down. I mean, jobs going to other countries, the economy collapse, the housing situation, crime, wars, corruption in politics....how could there be so many people, Pelosi included, that seem to want to screw up things for the middle and lower class? Don't we have enough problems? She need to be taken out of office and put on food stamps and welfare and stick her stinkin' a$$ in a section 8 house and make her live like that for a few years, like eternity. We need better people to run for offices. That last election with Obama and McCain was a joke, just like the Bush/Cary elections. WTF America?????????? I wish Fred Thompson would have made it through the elections. I think he would have done a hell of a better job. But then someone like him might have fixed things and that wouldn't be right now would it?

Unfortunately, voting today is similar to American Idol. That's how people vote. They don't look at the candidates, their past accomplishments, their overview of the country. All they know is that if somebody looks and speaks good, they will vote for them.
This last election, I'd have to say that 99.9% of the blacks voted for Obama just because he's black, well, 1/2 black. And then you have the whites that felt they needed to vote for him because their heads were up their a$$e$ and wanted to vote for him just because he's black too.....well, 1/2 black. But I read in the paper that Obama's popularity is slipping. He's down to 45%. I wonder who they'll have run against him in 2012? Maybe Brown's coach Eric Mangini or some 90 year old with Alzheimer.
I don't know, but unless something breaks for him, he's a goner come next election, and he may even lose power in Congress and the Senate before then.
Business is what runs our economy--not government. The natural state for a stable economy is for business to grow, create jobs which creates new tax money, and that money goes to the government for them to spend. In other words, the private sector supports the public sector. With Obama, he's trying to do just the opposite. He's trying to run the economy using government jobs to support the private sector. It won't work, and businesses know this. And this is why I see no hope in our future with this guy. It's not only his approval rating that's down, consumer confidence is down, purchase is down, availability to access money is down. Everything is down. And the more they push this healthcare nonsense, the further the polls slip for him. |
American Idol is a perfect analogy.
I don't know though, because corporations get rich no matter who is in. Small businesses may suffer, but both parties seem hell bent on phasing them out. That is why I do what big corporations do. I have independent contractors overseas and have an accountant giving me loopholes. I learned a long time ago in to be successful in business you must play dirty but within the rules. I hear all these small business owners calling into talk shows saying how Obama is killing them and all I can do is laugh. You aren't a real businessman. If you let government run things they hire private sector businesses who gouge them. If government doesn't run things the businesses still get the work. Next election will be tough though, I don't see any real Republicans. If there is no terror attack it won't be that easy to get Obama out and Palin, Newt and Romney aren't going to cut it. I think the Republican candidate won't come out until around 11. |
It will be tough to get a real conservative to run on the Republican ticket because many states allow people to cross over and screw around with the elections. Do you really think Republicans chose McCain??? And now that AutoBama is allowing illegals to be counted in the Census, it arms Democrats with the ability to have more Democrat Congress people. But if we could have real elections in this country without ACORN dragging people off the train tracks to vote, we just might have a chance at getting somebody good in office.
Maybe the Republicans will use the internet to help get a candidate instead of the damn main stream media. Doesn't seem like the Democrats want to go that way.
The main stream media decides who is going to get air time and 'free promotion'. The internet also frees us from the political correctness nonsense the main stream media shoves down our throats. You get much more honest commentary on news and political situations in blogs and maybe a candidate will pick up steam from there. |
I think this party needs to go far right this time around. These middle of the road Republicans just don't cut it. The conservative agenda is to get more government out of our lives, spend less and tax less. The only people that would irritate are those on the left, and they will vote for a Democrat no matter what.
The "go towards the middle" campaign came about during the Bush administration. As Hispanics are quickly becoming the new minority to get votes from, it was thought that enlarging the tent (as they call it) was the way to go. It wasn't, and I hope the Republicans realize that by now. |
But when did you guys start voting for non fiscal conservatives? The most important part of conservatism is the fiscal part, seems like the current crop of republicans is too stuck on the social part. It started with Bush in 2000.
Yes it did, and that's one fault I will charge Bush with. He led the other Republicans to behave like Democrats. Bridge to nowhere, debit cards during Katrina, were two at the top of my head that didn't sit well with me. They also went overboard when they started using billions for homeland security. Some things had to be done, sure, but it went out of control.
The major problem with our system of government is that if you want me to vote for painting all the homes on your street, you have to vote for my idea to install news sidewalks on mine. Even if the houses on your street don't need painting, I still vote that they should so you can repay the favor. |
