I'd nail the Camery drivers arse to the wall. 20 bucks says they were either talking or texting or thought they could get around traffic.

I don't know that I would assume that. You don't expect somebody to be lying in the road.

You're right. But the trucks were able to stop. She should have been more aware of what was going on. The drive of the Camry should have slowed down and been more mindful.

What kind of a mother cared so little about her child to not even buckle up, especially with the roads in that shape? Who wants to bet her car was in poor shape too, bad tires, etc.?

I feel so bad for this family. I wish this would have never happened. She is now an angel who will watch over her baby from above.

Camry comes up sees trucks stoppped lets off gas, but see flipped car, a more prevalent scene for their vision. This is a simple tragic mistake, why did she not buckle up, why didn't the drivers use their vehicles to protect lady in in raod from coming traffic? Only for sure blame placed is on dead lady for not buckling up.

What is wrong with some of you people? Where does your hate come from, my god, to think that I share the same air with you. She was not wearing a seat belt, that is why she died. Wake up!

So sad. Just an investment of less than 5 seconds (to buckle up) and this little girl would still have her mommy.

My brother-in-law was one of those two truck drivers that stopped. The Camry driver attempted to go around the trucks as they were stopping, despite seeing the SUV as it flipped. Although the Camry driver didn't see that the SUV's driver had been ejected and was laying on the freeway, my understanding is that appeared as if the driver of the Camry wanted to avoid stopping for the accident that had just occurred. There is no way to tell why the Camry driver didn't stop like the two trucks that were directly behind the SUV did. My prayers go out to everyone, including the Camry driver, who were affected by this tragic accident.

I have know her and her parents for a long time now.( Since before she was born). What a huge loss!!! My heart goes out to Laurie and Lyle, Aaron and "Alana Lou". This family was very close and a strong family, but how can you even think about what they are going through! Thier faith will get them through Iam sure. Why all the hate from people that were not even there! What if this was your family member. Won't you be hurting enough! Imagine reading all these thoughts. Come on people, enough hate in this world! If anything feel something for the child who will never know her wonderful mother!!!

Are you freaking kidding me?!?!? What planet did you grow up on? This child just lost her MOTHER in a completely tragic accident. You have no idea what this women's story is and you certanly have no right to judge how much she cared about her daughter. People like you seriously make me sick. Im glad you are such a PERFECT person and care so much about the people in your life that you have NEVER done anything that could potentionally injure yourself. Ugh.... My heart goes out to this womens family and all who are involved. Including the driver of the car that hit her. So so sad and i hope this will be some sort of a lesson to those of you who dont wear seatbelts.

drove from St. Paul to St. Cloud that morning and saw the aftermath of that accident and also saw at least 20 to 30 other vehicles in the ditch or saw other signs of cars hitting the center concrete barrier over the next 60 miles. The road looked like it was chemically treated and had frozen, making for a 'slippery condition' as posted on MNdot digital signs. It had snowed 2" the night before and the freeway was clear of snow and it was sunny out. It was like rush hour but on a Saturday morning at 9am. average speed to St. Cloud was about 40 mph. question, does the chemical work at 5 degrees? We saw a couple of salt trucks at the time loaded with salt, but for us, we were ahead of them

If you do not wear a seat belt you are choosing to die in any accident you have. Sadly, iit was her choice.
