From near and far--you're lying and you know it. Not to mention, testimony will show it. Good luck with all of those bitches out there in the world.

Nina, may the 41 months that CB was sentenced to bring you a little peace and closure. It was through your bravery and by speaking up that he was even sentenced jail time at all. Your mom would be proud of you.

Nina~

I know that you wanted more jail time for Chris but of course no amount of jail time can bring your mom back. If i could go back in time and prevent this all from happening i would. We feel like we've lost Chris but it does not compare to the loss you have had Your mom sounds like she was a wonderful, kind person. I give my best to you and your family and hope that you can start feeling a little closure. I apologize for my previous comments but at the same time i want people to know that Chris is not a monster like he is being made out to be. He made a horrible mistake and he has to live with it the rest of his life. I hope that sometime during your life you are able to forgive him. Again my thoughts go out to you and your family and everyone else who knew and loved your mom.

Nina, you did a great job sticking up for your Mom. When I see Nash with Taylor I can see the hurt in his eyes and I know you are hurting terribly as well. Your Mom is looking down and is so proud of you just as she was when she was here.
Katie.
You say Chris is not a monster. He ran someone over, ran like a little girl, then tried to throw his girlfriend under the bus and ran again. Not a monster???? I would have to disagree. No amount of time will fix it, but I feel safer with him in jail. My hope is he suffers as long as Nina will, forever.

Thanks for being an adult about this. You don't know Chris and no one knows Chris like his family and friends do. The media portrays him as something he's not. And he well suffer for the rest of his life. Chris is only human like THE REST OF US! and no he didn't try to throw his girlfriend under the bus. She was the one that was driving when they left the bar and Chris was the one who wanted to stay at her uncles house. They had a sober ride to there but she put up a hissy fit and left. So don't make comments like that when you don't know the whole and truthful story. Insults are not appreciated. How would you feel if i went and trashed Heather? Same thing. So grow up and be an adult and realize that we are only human and make mistakes.

Excuse me Katie. I am an adult. I take responsibility for my actions. I know better than to drive hammered like your 34 yr old friend should have. How did he not try to throw her under the bus when they switched drivers after hitting Heather? You can continue to blame his girlfriend but the "facts" are that a 34 yr old drove drunk-HIS DECISION, and killed someone and ran. And I'm not adult? I think you need to rethink this. I know you are sticking up for your friend and I can appreciate your emotions but if you were to poll 1000 people, 999 would have the same opinion as I do about Chris. I'm sorry and don't mean to offend you but, like you, I am entitled to my opinion and neither you or anyone else will stop me from expressing it. I hope your friend finds something redeeming in his time to think. I will support Heathers family and continue to express my views. I will also try to make good decisions. Hopefully, others will as well. Were you going to trash Heather for crossing with the light? How dare she. Maybe you need to grow up and see the reality of this situation. Good luck and Good bye.

In this case, that is painfully obvious. The point being, as we go through life, we should learn lessons that lead us to make prudent decisions. There is way too much running from responsibility in our world today. It wasn't his fault, she made him, he had a bad childhood, etc..........

I find it demeaning that Heather's life was worth 41 months. Of this, he will spend a yr in jail. What is worse is that he was going to get probation until Nina spoke up. This is not your fault or Chris's fault. I am appalled that our system believe this is justice. I, for one, would gladly pay more taxes to build jails to house people that make decisions that destroy lives.

If Chris were my friend, I am sure I would feel bad for him. However, I would want him to be fairly punished in the hope that he would learn and be a more responsible person. It may also send a message to people considering making the same bad decisions to reconsider. If he had gotten probation as offered, what message would that send? Go ahead, you won't have to pay for it anyway. Not the way I would want our world to operate. Again, my opinion. Friend or not, right is right, and wrong is wrong. Whether you want to admit it or not, Chris was wrong. It is not Ashley's fault, it is not anyone's fault but his.

I agree that the sentence was light in this case. But at the same time he is going to do 2 years of his sentence and 2 years of supervised release. I would have to say that i think it's good that he is going to do some jail time as opposed to probation. It will give him more time to reflect on the poor choice that was made.If i were on the opposite side of the fence i would be pissed off too. I understand. We can visit Chris but Nina can't visit her mom. The closest she will get is a grave and that is not ok. Hopefully everyone has learned from this tragedy i know I have as well as Chris' friends. I think a huge factor in Chris' sentence is the fact that he had no previous record. Like i have said before this was extremely uncharacteristic of Chris. Either way it shows that one decision can change peoples lives forever.

I think this is way too light!!! I know these children, they go to school with my kids, when you see Nash now the spark is gone, there is only half a smile on the face of a boy that use to be so funny! He is sad, however nothing you can do to Chris will bring their mother back... he could go to jail for 100 years and it won't bring back Heather. I don't know Chris, so I can not speak to the kind of person he was or is... God will sort that out when it is his time to answer for his life, I know that if he is any sort of human being he will be paying for this for the rest of his life mentally... So if it helps Heathers family to know that he may still suffer, that is if he has any sort of heart. I did not know Heather, only her sone Nash, and it is truly a very hard thing to see the changes that these children have had to endure with the loss of their mom... Drinking and Driving kills! I just wish that this message would get out there, everyone knows that it is wrong, yes people make mistakes, but what is the answer, maybe we need to use someone as an example! Maybe we need to issue 30 years to peole that kill while drunk driving... They maybe the greatest people in the world, but what is the appropriate price for them to pay for their actions? you ask Chris' family and I am sure the answer will not be the same as what you would get from Heather's family... What is the right answer?

The sad truth is there is no answer. It will always be one family against another and you can't please both families. I know that Chris will suffer for the rest of his life with what he did. When i talk to him about what happened he cries. Not because he got caught and is in jail, but because of the result of his actions.Bad things happen to good people and this applies for both Heather and Chris.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Virgo

If something is weighing on your mind it will start to affect your health, Virgo. It might make you feel tired or depressed, or it could dominate your thoughts. You know what you should do about it, of course, but it seems like too much effort or you want to pretend that it doesn't exist. Unfortunately, this escapist attitude won't make the problem go away and might even make it more tricky by the time you finally decide to tackle it.
