Looking Back on 75 Years: Boyle murder called 'Trial of the century'

I am actually doing some research on the subject because i remember the story as a child. Does anyone have any information or a place(besides physcially going to mansfield...i live in Saint Louis now) on the interent?

I watched the entire trial on telvision at the time. I twas a no brainer. He did it! Duh! The only thing that really bugs me about the incident is the fact that in spite of the fact that the man was found guilty and had used up all his appeals, he was still trying to play the system by insisting the woman buried in the basement of his new house wasn't his former wife. What difference does it make who is was? She was murdered and buried in his basement. The prosecutor did an excellent job of making sure that man is in prison where he belongs!

I have some little known info that was never looked into if you want it...It has to do with someone else that was involved. A situation that never got brought up anymore after his conviction.

He was my husband's doctor he always liked him. Couldn't believe someone so nice could be so evil.

there is a book about true crimes in ohio that has his story in it.

I am curious as to what little known info you have..........I spoke to someone who was involved with him at the time and it was never let on that he was the significant other. The secrets we keep!

I am curious about the little known info. This case truly shook up the medical world in Mansfield at the time. I was in contact with someone at the time who was involved with him and yet it was never let on about him. The secrets we keep!

Carol, do the initials of the someone begin with C? Did they have direct involvement like buying the items for him that he needed?

I found a rubber maid container full info recently, that contians news paper clippings,video tapes of the trial and the books of rotten to the core and other documents

I was a child in mansfield @ that time. I just watched the story on Discovery channels new detectives. A relative knew the woman the doc was involved with. Do you know if she a restaurant cashier at the time??

I grew up in Mansfield and went to school with the "mistress" in the case. Fascinating case.

I I actually worked at the hospital while he was having an affair with the young nurse - very young nurse.

I worked there when his affair with the very young nurse began...
