Since your letter was signed "Cypress Neighbors" I will assume the entire block had a secret meeting to discuss my tree trunk on the side of my yard. Rather than send 100's of individual letters I thought I would address it here. One Sunday afternoon a pipe to my cesspool exploded, in an effort to top raw sewage from running out into your street "Mr Homeowner", who is recovering from having three discs replaced and a cage build around his spine, immediately addressed the problem. He replaced the pipe which entailed removing a tree trunk from the cesspool area. He placed it on the side of the yard outside our fence to make it easier to pick it with his dump truck. However, his exertions caused a disc to pop so the following day he was sent to Manhattan for additional surgery which required a 60 day recovery period. I understand how aweful it must have been to have to look at that ungodly site for 35 days until it was removed but did you honestly think we would leave it there indefinitely after buying this neighborhood eyesore and trucking out three full eighteen wheeler tractor trailer loads of debris? We have spent the past eight years transforming this neighborhood dumping ground into a beautiful home with attractive landscaping. So thank you for your anonymous threatening letter to call the village and again I apologize for forcing you to endure such an aweful 35 days of having to look at a tree trunk. Please accept this apology as I continue to enjoy all this block has to offer, the kids screaming profanities, you screaming profanities at them to stop them from screaming profanities, the barking dogs at all hours, the spotlight that beams into my dining/living room windows the entire night, the loud music til the wee hours of the night, the beer bottles thrown over my fence, the garbage that collects in my yard on pick up day and the graffiti that adorns my fence. I can see that this village has really brought this community together.

That about sums up all the people who voted in this stupid village. When they said they wanted to clean up the mess they didn't realize that most of them would be considered a "mess" by normal people who live outside of Mastic Beach. Leave it to the village to ostracize and drive out the very people they should be encouraging to come live here.

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Scorpio

Emotional tension is in the air today, making it a fraught but exciting day. The fur could really fly between you and someone you fancy, especially if you aren't yet having a sexual relationship with them. Try to channel all this energy into positive directions, such as doing something creative or transforming. It will also help to keep active.
