this was the best news of the day. with all the missing, killed, rapes and murdering children and adults it sure was nice to hear this story. i myself wouldn't have traded. appliances these days seem to not want to work when you want them. if wal-mart was to sell appliances you would end up having to send them to the manufacturer. i'm sure they were worth more as antiques than a common appliance. its good feeling knowing mrs. thompson had a good day.

I have the dryer from 1950,maytage brand. its white and it dryes better than any new dryer Ive had before. mr blue in San Marcos Texas. by the way, I was born in 1952.

You think that is long, I had a may tag that lasted so long and was so durable I just up and give that wringer type away as my wife wanted a new one. Yes and My brother in law had a chevey PU that had over 800,000 miles on it with the original motor, It just kept on ticking. He traded it in on a new chevy. he bout it new in 1974. Used it in busness pulling a trailer every day. Never done nothing to it but change the oil and plugs and kept it greased.
