State installing safer highway signs in area

“These wooden ones break off. They drill two holes in the bottom. They're called break-away posts”

In case you're wondering what workers have been doing with that big auger along U.S. 2 this summer, they're replacing sign posts and installing new signs. via The Daily Press

another way to waste tax payers money...and talk about job security,,,how often will the wood post have to be replaced compared to the metal ones??? this is just a stupid idea someone had, and what did they do with the old post? Through them away!!!!
