Go there quickly, however. The Casino is on land that is, technically speaking, a foreign country. The cost structure is lower, and it is quite likely to put lots of those quaint restaurants and inns out of business. But hey, Congressman Upton, who brought this whole mess to Berrien County doesn't need to worry because his company (Whirlpool) sent their jobs off shore years ago.

I wish the news media would stop calling these places "casinos". This is the 21st century. Call them what they are: investment management centers for the under-educated.

Or you could call it a place where people who don't understand math go to smoke.

Wow, great news. The people with money to burn now have a new, fabulously huge and convenient place to burn it - quick and legally. Oh, yes, and you can SMOKE there, too, can't you?!! Oh, heavens - great news gets even greater!!!
Is the free shuttle service from Chicago to New Buffalo still being offered this year?

My husband and I are from Texas, we are well educated, non-smokers, and make a very good living. We visited the casino and had a great time. We played the penny slots most of the afternoon on about $3 and had a great meal. What is wrong with that? It was almost as good as Vegas! What a narrow middle class midwestern attitude you people have about something that seems to me to bring in great revenues for the area and it is a destination for what would otherwise be just a place in the road .Next we are in the area we will surely stop my for lunch again.
