She still won't make as much as the NMSU football or basketball coach.

So we can compare costs and see if we can do as well with our new leader. Some of them are tarnished goods and should come cheap.

Is there anyone worth that much? Really?
I am so content with my family and a roof and decent meal. The simple things are best.

She will when they send her packing and have to buy her contract.

First of all, it's the Sun-News. Second of all, the title of every article is a headline. Enjoy the rest of the year in third grade, darling, and tell us if multiplication frustrates you.

Drink much? Makes "insults" and the "Oh My" you keep in your pants lame. This was an AP article that the paper could have easily saved a few bucks on by not printing or posting for an audience that doesn't care. You may want to brush up on your own arithmetic before you share your opinions.

So what wrote:

What is your problem. The coaches are always one of the most highly paid member of any university. They are the ones that give the most exposure to any school and thus, put a name to the school. When you think of USC or Ohio state you automaticly think "football" before you think of academics.

Coaches deserve their salary.

Coaches deserve their salary when they PRODUCE RESULTS! Anybody can coach, it takes a good coach to deliver results.

The coaches at NMSU don't deserve their salaries. Not a single one.

Congratulations to you, Dr. Waded-Cruzado. You deserve the best and NMSU made an extremely unsound decision when they didn't permanently hire you as the University president. There is something terribly wrong with society when it values sports coaches more than academics.

And what does NMSU get? A choice of two candidates who are in trouble at their previous U's (one of whom made national news, conveniently ignored at first by this rag and also by the equally as lame Bulletin), a choice of two candidates from poly-tech's not Ag schools, and the dark horse.

I was associated with Montana State for several years, and found it to be a well-run and encouraging place to work with. And did you know that they took the time and expense to send ALL of their regents here to offer the job. They probably took one look at this place and 'THAT' school and said,'come with us now, you need to get out of here immediately!'

Although it is fun to imagine the comments here and in print about the expense of sending all of the regents on a mission of mercy.

And don't waste your time telling me to leave and go back to Montana. I'm working on doing that right now.

Bravo to Dr. W-C

Best of luck Dr. Cruzado! You are an outstanding person who will be missed.

NMSU is just getting themselves deeper in **** with their new presidential candidates. Everyone knows Taylor/Kite/Curtis will not allow a FEMALE president, much less a Minority....so it leaves it to the 2 Crooks. NMSU keeping on hiring their own kind.

Congratulation Dr. C, you've earned it. Besides, it would be hard for her to work at NMSU, since she would have to work with the regents, and crap only goes well with more crap. She wouldn't have fit in.

What is the point of discussing this at all? Just let her go.

NMSU has enough to worry about regardless of Cruzado.

because the sun news, the editor and staff are communists who do not like capitalism. So because this salary sounds really high to them, they feel they should vilify this person. read quick this will most likely be deleted soon

NMSU has a track record of hiring crooks. They need to throw all of the bums out. She is just angry that they made her step down as acting president. If I recall, an interim president is NOT allowed to apply for the position, and that goes includes her. Doesn't matter if she was a minority or woman. According to policy she could not apply for the job and I am sure she new it when they appointed her as interim president, and she accepted it. Besides, she was involved in the fiasco with the College of Health and Human services, right along with her buddy Mike Martin. You're right, NMSU keeps hiring their own kind, and as far as I'm concerned she was one of THEM.
