I am nearly sickened by what I read on some of these forums! Tearing eachother down, insulting one another, petty name calling. All the while our kids end up suffering teachers can't do their jobs because funding gets cut, our pockets get lighter as the higher ups, ELECETED ONES NO LESS, line their wallets and sit in these positions as though they are kings! All this while we break our backs working, paying taxes out our a$$e$, trying to get our kids a decent education and nice place to grow up.
I don't know what to believe anymore, but I do know whoever is elected better step up!
Our kids deserve field trips at the rate I'm paying taxes and they deserve a nice baseball field. This is crazy!

Well then, you must be sick of yourself. I'd bet a bushel of apples that you voted for the very same people you complain of today. However, you are correct that certain ones are scoundrels and love to line their wallets. My, advice to you is beleive your heart, not your neighbor's opinion or even that of your spouse. Do what your will tells you to do. When it comes to those elected, H. Ross Perot was right. He said if you do this, that and the other thing you're gonna here a big sucking sound in America. It turns out that he was right, and right now you've got a guy like Obama running the place and it IS really sucking right about now - ain't it. And oh, no trips for the kiddies, Howard Butters has cornered the loose change for his retirement.

Let's see...the Round Barn is still a piece of crap. Is the ball field open in there? Butters is still getting his huge salary and pulling the strings. Ditto Gibson and the village board. Cash for Gold moved out. One huge empty strip mall still sits. The other strip mall where the Double Deuce was has the crappy Chinese place and that's it. The store front where the video store was is still vacant. There is no longer a farmer's market or movies in the park. Nothing for the kids to do. Lots of foreclosed houses with weeds all over the front. The library still wants to build and my taxes have not went down. Yes, things are looking up.

But on the bright side, I'm still sexy.

Ever notice the ones that bitch are the ones that don't do anything to help change the situation?

News for you, the entire Country is in the same boat. We are in a recession, and with a Socialist President, and a developmentally disabled Governor things will not change in this town, or any other town in Illinois.

Keep voting for these idiots, then bitch. Everyone has to be good at something.

Our mayor bought the end unit in the vacant strip mall. He never liked the roof or the way it looked!

Well I guess the revenue that brings in will help pay the high salary for Marion. I'm glad we are going in the right direction.

Obama outsourced GM to China, set up the voting for our election in SPAIN, won't let us drill our own oil, but made a multi BILLION dollar deal with Brazil to buy their oil.

Yeah, Romney > Soetoro (His legal name)

what about insourcing... meaning bringing in all of Mexico to do American jobs. Obama has given them free passes to stay. only Romney will have influence for Americans to get back what was rightfully their own.

True but the surrounding towns don't seem to have a problem bringing in businesses. Big and small. During a recession, the big wigs do not deserve a salary increase either. School board made some amend to Butters contract but did not say what in the minutes. Wonder what?
