So what? Since when has it been news that more than five kids in a particular school are sick? When will the media admit that the swine flu is actually milder than the regular flu. The swine flu is less contagious than the regular flu and if you actually look at the statistics for yourself, you will see so far this year, there are less deaths from the swine flu and regular flu combined so far this year than in previous years. This is just scare tactics to make everyone get a vaccine that has not been properly tested. Yes, more people are out of school but it is not because more are sick. It is because the media has been successful at making people panic.

These numbers are probably inaccurate due to the number of parents that are just keeping their child home because they are sick rather than freaking out over it. My 12 year old is recovered from H1N1. I called the pediatrician to discuss her symptoms, and was told to just keep her rested at home, give her Motrin and cough medicine and call again if symptoms get worse. Because she is a healthy child, she rode it out like a regular flu and is now back at school.

I've had the H1N1 flu for the past 6 days. I usually get flu shots for the regular flu and don't catch it. Since there was no vaccine for this one available yet I caught it.

It's definitely a bad flu but I think the way they are terrifying people is uncalled for. You get it, you feel bad for a good week and then you get well.

Just look at the information on the CDC website. Fact - According to Obama's recent announcement, over 1000 have died from the swine flu so far this year. How does this compare? Fact - According to the CDC, 36,000 die from the annual seasonal flu. Fact - 200,000 die each year from infections contracted during hospitalization or from medical error. With those figures in mind, why are so many terrified of the swine flu yet eager to go to the hospital when they have a sniffle? Talk about nonsense.

Why won't the media report about the prenant women that have had miscarriages within days of the swine flu vaccine? So far, I have heard of two cases and those are just because they are friends of friends.

They do know but reporting it is not within their agenda. I know of 3 personally that have lost their babies after the vaccine.

Daily Horoscope for December 21

Aquarius

Although you're still feeling sociable and outgoing, the Solstice brings the need for a little time to yourself now and then. It's time to temper your busy social life with some precious moments of solitude. Make sure you do, as this need is something important and life-enhancing. It will certainly recharge your inner batteries, which might be a little run down.
