Maybe she didn't -- It could just be a family fight that's overblown, don't believe everything you read in the newspaper.

I know the family very well, and its a very sad story. Good sister was banished from the family by the bad sister-Terri- told her parents what a bad person the "good" sister was. It's only when the father's checking account was overdrwan that he asked questions, and the "good" sister offered to help. She found out her sister who has Power of Attor, and seval joint accts with althiesmer (Sp?) mother, was embezzling over 20 years. Very sad as Terri has children.... there you have it.

Financial abuse against the elderly is on the rise nationwide. Research shows the elderly suffer from up to 5 million incidents per year!

Sadly, Manny Kornicki, victimized by Terri Kaminer died May 7, 2006. HIs death was hastened by the manipulative lies of his daughter who behaved without conscience and a sociopath. Our seniors need more organization protection and there needs to be a law on the books for elder abuse.

That is so sad. Isn't there a law on the books for elder abuse?
I think she is looking at serving some time. I just hope she gets what she deserves, and that her sister gets back what is rightfully hers.

What a cruel story. The law needs to come down hard on thieves like this. An extremely ugly crime, violating the trust of vulnerable parents - a total disgrace, a vicious thing to do to the parents, and a terrible legacy for her own children. You wonder, did this woman act completely on her own, or were there others involved? If so, they should be held accountable as well!

I have been following this tragic story, and agree, that the daughter probably did not act alone. Her husband and close friends had to have known/been involved. Let's not be nieve.

I am going through the same thing now. My older sister got my father to put her name on all acounts to "handle the interest when they came due", but my dad came to me and told me, she ran out screaming, and told my parents she would leave. Dad backed down from the threats. He died from dehydration, eight months later my mother died from an infection from a bandage put on her leg too tight. Both died from her care. My other sister was there and was supposed to be helping, while my sister "cleaned out the house". She took everything she wanted before my Mom died. She won't produce any bank records, she says she's honest. She took all bank records, my mother's diamond ring , and new ann. ring dad bought. She took all of their I.D.'s driver license's, before my dad died, they couldn't access their own money. She won't answer her phone. My things disappeared from where my mom had them from a previous marriage, she said they're gone. Also my pictures were taken from my photo album in the attic of my wedding, trip with her and her husband. It's a nightmare to go through. She 's got all the money now in her name. We are at her mercy, and I'm going to have to do something. The law says it's her money until we file against her, then it's frozen until a hearing is held. Beware all of you. Money does something to your siblings.

Manny was my uncle. An incredible human being. He lived for his wife, Bertha. Both of his daughters Marian and Teri have been feuding for ages. I don't know if the allegations are true- but certainly many of them are. I enjoyed several months with my aunt and uncle before his passing and finally came to the realization that my uncle was fully aware of what was going on. He was a generous, kind and loving man. May he rest in peace.

I am a neighbor of the late Mr. Kornicki and was there when Mott Marvin stayed at Mr. and Mrs. Kornicki's house. He had not seen his uncle in over 20 years. It was at the behest of Mott Marvin's mother that Mr. Kornicki agreed to help Mott Marvin and he allowed him to stay at his home if he agreed to stay clean and sober and find a job. Mott Marvin was a complete freeloader and was asked to leave by Mr. Kornicki. Mott Marvin knew nothing of "feuding" because it did not exist. Terri, Mott's cousin is a dangerous psychopath and literally did everything and anything to steal money.

In response to "Witness to Evil"(5/22/2007), Why not identify yourself? You seem to have some "inside" information that a "NEIGHBOR" would most likely NOT have access to!
